The chart above gives us a summary of the earnings/losses per size sold of the shoe. 56% of the sale resulted in earning under $20 ( sizes 6-8, 9, 12 and 13). 44% led to losses ( sizes 8.5, 9.5-“.5 and 12.5). And only one pair ( size 13.5) resulted in a $62 profit. What’s the verdict on the shoe?
The picture is pretty clear, close to 94% of the sales led to mark ups under 6% (almost 3 times below average), which means that this isn’t a shoe you want to resell or invest in. Prices will probably peak at $360 or $380 at most, so I wouldn’t even consider it as a long term investment option. All this is because of the very exorbitant MSRP, the $300 is too high and leaves you with no room for profits.
Even for buyers, I think this is an expensive shoe because current prices are 10% to 15% above the MSRP.
