Observations
The chart above gives us a breakdown of the current resale value of the shoe by size sold, as well as the current earnings/losses associated with each size. As you can see from the data, 54% of the sales resulted in losses or no profit ( sizes 5.5-6, 7,8,8.5 and 9). 31% led to profit margins between $10 and $20 ( sizes 9.5, 11,7.5 and 10), while the remaining 15% resulted in earnings between $30 and $50 ( sizes 10.5 and 12). Larger sizes are leading to the best margins while sizes 8 and below for the most part result in losses save the size 7.5. What can we conclude about this shoe as far as resale?
The shoe hasn’t officially released yet and we can expect the current margins to drop by as much as 10%. Hence I’ll only recommend targeting larger sizes i.e. sizes 10 and above ( 10.5 and 12 more precisely) for resale purposes. They lead to mark up between 29% and 42% ( almost two to three times above average). There is also great news for buyers, especially those who wear smaller sizes. You’ll probably be able to get your pair for retail or even under.
