The Nike Kyrie 4 Was Built Primarily For Performance

Sharing is caring!

The Nike Kyrie 4 is officially debuting on December 20th. As I stated in the title of the post, the kyrie 4 was primarily for performance purposes and rightfully so. Kyrie Irving is an effective “razzle dazzle” type of player; I used the word effective for specific reasons. There are a fair amount of players in the NBA with fancy moves, but most aren’t very productive. Kyrie has an arsenal of tools that always lead to buckets hence the nickname Uncle Drew. And many of his moves require him to stop on a dime, change his direction, cut to the basket and so forth. And that puts a lot of pressure on his knees, joints, ankles; he is injury prone so Nike’s immediate concern is to create a shoe to keep him safe on the court.

I read somewhere that the exaggerated sole was made because it was trendy thing now for sneaker heads. Whoever thought that was absolutely wrong in my opinion; the amplified sole main purpose is for creating more balance and stability for the feet ( if you look at the shoes the exaggeration is near the forefoot). I haven’t tested the shoes but I believe the traction on them might be revolutionary, I won’t elaborate any further on the traction until I actually have the sneakers on hand. From what I’ve been told, the shoe will sport a cushlon midsole (cushlon is lighter more responsive phylon foam) which means better cushioning for the wearer. The heel will also be equipped with a zoom unit for additional impact protection.

Upper Materials:

The shoes feature suede materials on the quarter panel, engineered mesh from the midfoot to the toebox ( for ventilation purposes). The back panel features synthetic leather materials.

There you have it folks, if I get my hands on the shoes, I’ll be sure to test them on the court and let you know how they actully feel.
