It’s the time of year when people look forward to tax returns and, as if on cue, Nike is releasing a new wave of shoes. February 7 alone will see the release of 7 pairs of shoes, including the Tom Sachs X NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe Field Brown.
The shoe comes dressed in a new Field Brown upper that is made from mesh, suede and leather. It features subtle details such as Tom Sachs branding behind the tongues, the NikeCraft logo on the insoles and rubber outsole, dual pull tabs on the heel and tongues, and Swoosh branding on the medial and lateral. The colorway itself consists mostly of shades of brown with some black accents for contrast.

The chart above gives us a summary of the average sale price of the shoe since February 5,2023. As you can clearly see, prices went from $195 to $180, that’s a $15 decrease within a 24 hour period. Let’s investigate this further with our five number summary.

The lowest the shoe sold for was $148, for a size 7 in men’s while the highest sale recorded was $262, men’s size 13. 1/4 of the shoes sold for prices from $148 t0 almost $176, while half of them, that is 50% sold for prices between $176 and $200.25. The remaining 25% sold for prices from $200.25 to $262. $248 and $262 were considered outliers and skew the data to the right. So if we remove them and calculate the overall average sale price, we find it to be $187 with a 9% volatility ( below normal). 68% of the shoes are probably going to sell for prices between $171 and $203.
