Air Jordan (Page 2)

As per usual, TMZ is starting something. According to the Harvey Levin megasite, Michael Jordan has a pair of Jordans that may be either: 1) Hot of the press new Nike Air Jordans or 2) a custom pair of Jordans made just for Mike. The basketball legend was NOT photographed wearing the mystery Nike Air Jordans.  Mike was photographed holding the black Jordans with white soles while boating in Barbados. To see Michael Jordan holding the mystery Air Jordan’s click here for a photo posted on the TMZ website. In a so far fruitless investigation, TMZ requested an examination of the photographic evidence from multiple experts, includingRead More →

NPD’s Matt Powell said something very interesting in one of his tweets that send me thinking, it read like this, Today, sneaker marketers leak pictures of new shoes to bloggers months before the shoes hit retail. I had one Twitter follower tell me, “I’m angry about this shoe. I really want it, but I know I’ll see pictures of it for six months and then I won’t be able to get a pair anyway” And I️ responded with, what are you trying to prove? It has been going on for years , so you aren’t saying anything new. And He responded with, No. It isRead More →

What I’m about to say in the next couple of paragraphs is entirely based on my own interpretation based on past observations and my background in mathematics. Jordan Brand dropped the Jordan 11 win like 96 incognito  a few days ago in select locations. It was to be expected because the same thing was done with its predecessor, the Jordan 11 win like 82. I was at my local mall a week and a half ago and an older gentleman was inquiring about the Win like 96; he was very concerned about not securing a pair. I chuckled a bit and realized that he wasn’tRead More →

I wasn’t very fond of the air Jordan 6 Gatorade,  Nike took the cheap route and was biting off the Carmine 6. But the Air Jordan XXXII 32 Gatorade looks amazing. I did not think I would say this about a hybrid pair of Air Jordan sneakers. They embody the Gatorade theme quite well and the color combination and distribution were well executed. I’m actually out of words to describe them, I will let them pictures do all the talking. They are coming out in the month December and you can count on  me to scoop up a pair. Are Nike sneakers really losing their cool factor ? It’s all about one’s perspective, some may see a glass as half full and others as half empty. But to be objective one has to analyze this question from Nike’s own perspective; after all they are the one making the shoes with a specific target market in mind. An article was posted a few days ago about Nike losing its cool factor amongst teenagers and a survey was conducted by whoever wrote the article to basically back up his or her claim. But the problem with the survey was that it only covered  a specific demographic.Read More →

Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul have a large mass appeal and both are Jordan brand signees, but neither one has been able to successfully convert their fan base into loyal buyers of their signature shoes. Nike CEO Mark Parker has been preaching the Edit To Amplify for quite some time now and we are beginning to see the campaign being implemented. Basically the Edit To Amplify aims to do away with products that do not work and Melo’s signature shoes fall right in that category. Jordan hybrids have always been perceived as the “poor man Retro” and are usually shunned by the masses. Melo’s sneakersRead More →

Jordan Brand brought back notable OG colorways of the Retro 12 last year, the most iconic one being the Flu Game edition. Also introduced right before the holiday season were newer colorways with premium materials appropriated for the cold weathers. And JB is continuing the tradition this year with the introduction of the Air Jordan 12 Bordeaux. They were inspired by the Bordeaux 7, another very popular Retro which borrowed its nickname from French City Bordeaux, known for its rich wine making tradition. The Air Jordan 12 Bordeaux is scheduled to release on October 14th, but you can purchase it now via eBay from our featured sellers,Read More →

I don’t think this is the last time this generation will see the Air Jordan 13 ” He Got Game” in their lifetime. They’ve already made two appearances since they first got introduced in 1997. The shoes were inspired by the black panther whose hunting techniques were closely related to Michael Jordan’s annihilation of his defenders on the court. But Air Jordan 13 ” He Got Game” was really made popular by Spike’s Lee movie “He got Game” that featured Denzel Washington and Ray Allen aka Jesus Shuttlesworth. Jordan Brand is running out of ideas and is holding on to classics to keep its head above waters.Read More →
