I shared an article a couple of months ago making some suggestions to Jordan Brand about bringing back some Retros that may possibly bring some spark back to the brand. Many in the sneaker community have become numb to Jordan retros because the brand has not only brought back the same styles multiple times, but the new colorways they’ve introduced are pretty dull; to make it worse, prices have increased ridiculously and not even in function of the inflation. Well, the Nike Air Jordan 3 Mocha is projected to return in the Summer of 2018. The Mocha 3’s were originally introduced in 2001 and IRead More →

I’m no longer interested in looking at sneakers from a consumer perspective. Whether it be sneakers, electronics, household items, etc, the smart consumer must understand that these big corporations and brands actually hire psychologists to study the stimuli behind our buying habits. All this in order to find ways to generate more sales; so when Jordan Brand decides to change the release date of the Air Jordan 11 Midnight Navy from Black Friday to November 11, I must ask myself the question: Why? Let’s face it, Jordan Brand has lost its flair, and what I’m trying to convey is that it no longer creates a riseRead More →

Earlier this week, we learned that JB was bringing back the Air Jordan 1 OG Shadow. As a matter the Retro Jordans line up for next year is going to be incredible, featuring many classics. But the brand has also blessed up with the Air Jordan 1 Shadow OG Camo a few weeks ago. They feature a full grain leather upper with grey suede details on the toe box, panel swoosh logo and heel leather straps. Adding a bit more flavor to the shoes is the camouflage print on the uppers with additional 3M reflective details. They are available now on eBay for below retail, see listingsRead More →

The first images of the Triple Black Air Jordan 1 Retro High emerged in early May. The shoes come in all black tumbled leather upper with university red details on the tongue and sockliner. The customary swoosh logo will come in black as well on the side panels; the wings logo can be spotted on the lateral quarter panel. The hot summer days can be excruciating and the feet tend to burn up, sweat and odors begin to build up; for that reason, ventilation is an important aspect of any shoes and the perforated toe box is intended to enhance the cooling system to keep the feetRead More →

I’m sure no one really cares at this point when it comes to Jordan Retros; the brand keeps beating up the same models over and over, wrapping them in different colors, and giving them silly nicknames. I Was just taking a stroll in the mall this morning and I found the Low top 11 Barons sitting in massive numbers in my local FTL. This ought to be good news for those of us patient enough to wait till the shoes hit the sales rack. Anyway, coming out on Saturday June 3rd is the Air Jordan 7 VII Pure Platinum just in time for the Summer. TheRead More →

The Air Jordan 4 Pure Money is set to release on May 13 and will be retailing for$190. That’s a bit too much considering the fact that the first time they released in 2006, they were priced at $115. But inflation must be taken into consideration; after running some numbers, I came to the conclusion that Jordan Brand should have priced the pure 4’s at only $140 at most- so you are paying pretty much $45 more than you should. Like I said earlier, the pure money 4’s were originally introduced in 2006. They come in a white on white color combination with metallic silver accents.Read More →

It makes perfect sense for JB to bring back the Air Jordan 12 Retro Taxi again. Last year, a series of 12’s made their way unto the sneaker scene, the most anticipated being the Flu game 12. The taxi edition was originally introduced in 1996 and was inspired by the Japanese Rising sun flag. They were then released in the legendary Countdown Pack together with the “Bred 11“, and brought back again in 2013. The shoes come in a white black color combination with metallic gold details on the eyelets. They feature a premium leather upper with synthetic leather overlays on the Snakeskin patterned mudguard. Spring is probably the best season for outdoor activities in my opinion. It’s neither too hot nor cold, it’s the perfect time to ready one up for the Summer. I’m not surprised by the amount of running and performance shoes we are being served. Debuting on April 5 is  the  Jordan Trunner LX Black Red 905222 001. The shoes come in a black and red color scheme and feature a breathable mesh toe box complemented by woven materials on the foot bridge and nubuk leather on the heel panels. They sport an adjustable heel and midfoot strap to ensure lockdown, and  also feature a padded heel linerRead More →

In my last week edition of Gem From Japan, the Jordan 16 ginger was featured; I hope one of you was able to pick them up, steals of the sort are not common. Today, I found another sparkler: the 2001 Air Jordan 11 Low Cherry. They were retroed in 2016 in men’s and GS sizes; but there is nothing like owning a pair of the original release. They come in  a white and cherry color combination, and feature patent leather on the toe box ,mudguard and heel panel. The rest of the upper is composed of mesh and soft leather. Jordan logos appear on the extensionRead More →
