I came across several pictures of unreleased sample pairs of the Off-White collection via my facebook feed and wasn’t really mesmerized by them at all, see pictures below
I understand that liking or disliking a certain product is purely subjective so I have no quarrel with anyone who was enticed with the images that were circulating. As I continued to scroll through my feed, a random ad got my attention. It was showing what seem to be custom Dragon Ball Z themed sneakers inspired by Virgin Abloh free spirited concept. I immediately clicked the link and was taken to an unknown website. And what I witnessed there blew my mind. I have been saying for a few years now that brands can borrow a thing or two from customizers and I don’t think I’m deluded. Take a quick look at the images below and give me your honest feedback. If Nike was to release any of the shoes in the images below, I can guarantee you that not one of the pairs will sit on retailers’s shelves. The Jordan 1 is trending and although Nike has released several breathtaking models of this silhouette, the latest colorways that have emerged appear very redundant and unexciting. I would encourage Nike to consider creating this Dragon Ball Z collection since the artists have also borrowed the Off-white idea from Nike to begin with.
