One of the possible ways to figure out what Jordan Brand is brewing is a quick look at bootleggers’s latest products. I routinely check grey market sites to do my comparisons between authentic and fake sneakers, and oftentimes I come across new inventory that tells me what sneakerheads might be served in the coming months. Today I came across a pair of the Air Jordan 6 Doernbecher and I suspect that Nike might be bringing it back very soon. It shouldn’t come as a surprise since the brand announced that they were going to turn their attention to products that people wanted. Nike’s contracted factories are mostly located in China and with the level of corruption within the firms, products leak easily. And the replica industry thrives on that so I’m not surprised that the sweatshops are ahead of schedule, way ahead of Nike. Nike hasn’t confirmed that the Doernbecher 6 is returning so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I’m not even sure why Nike would bring those back, they were intended for charity purposes so I don’t think they belong in the Edit To Amplify lane.
I wrote a post a little while ago inviting Nike to continue the Premio Collection , see link below
I think extending the Bin23 collection will get people more excited than recycling classics like the Doernbecher 6 ( especially if they were for charity purposes). Bringing the DB 6 back smells capitalism and I think Nike ought to think very carefully prior to pulling a stunt of the sort. Well, Nike can do whatever Nike wants to do but though everything is permissible, not everything is wise.
The pictures you see below are images of fake pairs from bootleggers, stay away from anyone offering you a pair that bear the traits of the one you see below.
