Fake Air Jordan 6 CNY Chinese Year Spotted-Quick Ways To Identify Them

Sharing is caring!

The one observation that I’ve made as it pertains to combat fakes is that the more details brands put on a sneaker, the harder it is to replicate it. Using better and premium materials is also another way brands like Nike can impede fakes. As you all know the Fake Air Jordan 6 CNY was bound to be replicated; here are quick ways to identify the fakes. I didn’t focus on the pattern and shapes on the panels referencing the Chinese festivities because it differs from one shoe to another.

Both pairs used in this presentation are size 11.

You can clearly see that the heel liner is almost non existent on the fake pair ( see yellow arrow pointing down). You’ll also notice the conventional bump adjacent to the liner on the authentic pair; the bump is nowhere to be seen on the fakes ( see yellow rectangle).

The forefoot overlay is made up of a nylon/denim like material on the authentic; the fake pair features a microfiber like material on the overlay ( see yellow arrow).

This is a better picture hat shows you how the material on the forefoot overlay is different between both pairs.

The quarter panel material used between both pairs is different ( see yellow arrow). Because I don’t have the shoes on hand, I can’t quite tell whether the material is nylon or denim but it’s definitely not microfiber.

There is a gap between the quarter panel layer and the midfoot layer on the fake pair ( see yellow arrow). The holes placement is also off on the fakes ( see yellow rectangle).

The jumpman logo on the fakes is deformed and the gap between the legs is bigger on the authentic pair. The “AIR” wording is placed a a little too high on the fakes ( see yellow line).

The gap between the ball on the jumpman hand and the back tab is bigger on the authentic pair ( see yellow vertical line). The flower is placed higher on the fakes ( see yellow horizontal line).

The “AIR” wording is higher on the fakes; the midsole material looks cheap on the fakes ( you can already see how it has cracks).

You can clearly see that the production dates are not the same; the font of the “style number” is bolder on the fake pair. The authentic pairs were produced in the “SZ” factory while the fake pair were supposedly made in the “YS” factory.

Both shoes are the same size ( size 11) so they ought to have the same UPC code, which is not the case when you look at the picture above.

There you have it folks, I’m sure the fakes will soon be upgraded , as soon as I come across a new batch I’ll update the post.
