In this edition of legit check, we’ll learn how to quickly detect the Fake Air Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott x Fragment Design 2.0 . This is a shoe that is doing tremendously well on third party marketplaces and you know counterfeiters targeted it. Some of the fakes I’ve come across are so well built that even the greatest authenticator cannot identify them without a real pair on hand. We’ll lean on Jacob Marcellus‘ side by side comparison again for this authentication. Areas we’ll focus on will include the back, tongue, laces, panels, insole, outsole and laces.
How To Tell If Your Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP Fragment 2.0 is Fake?
Back

- Lightning bolt circle (red arrows): on the authentic pair, the round logo mark reads a bit wider/more “true circle,” while on the fake it looks slightly narrower and more stretched vertically (more oval/elongated).
- Midsole texture + color (red rectangles): the textures don’t match. The real midsole has a tighter, more uniform pebbling and it leans a bit more aged/cream. The fake midsole looks slightly smoother with a different grain pattern, and the tone reads a bit lighter/cleaner (less aged) in comparison.

On the heel, the replica’s Fragment stamp rides higher, while the authentic stamp sits lower and more centered ( see red lines). The real pair also uses a tighter, slightly smaller Wings embroidery, whereas the fake looks larger and more expanded, especially around the basketball and feather details.

- Cactus Jack face patch (red boxes): on the real pair the face stamp looks slightly wider and more evenly proportioned, while on the fake it reads a bit more stretched/oval and less balanced.
- Heel leather texture (red side arrows): the real pair’s white leather is more tumbled with visible wrinkles/pebbling. The fake leather looks smoother and flatter, with less natural grain.
- “Cactus Jack” heel embroidery (red oval): the fake embroidery looks bolder and slightly larger (thicker strokes and more “filled” thread). On the real pair, the letters are slimmer/thinner and more refined, with cleaner spacing.
Lateral Panel ( Mid Section)

Blue liner position (red arrows):
on the authentic pair, the blue collar lining is taller and more exposed — it rides higher and slightly overlaps the edge, so you see more blue above the white leather. On the fake, the blue lining sits lower and doesn’t climb as high along the rim. The yellow circle shows you how the red dash around the Cactus wording is adjacent to the edge of the tongue liner on the real pair but clearly on the fake, there is a significant gap. The red rectangles show you the obvious differences in the stitches.
Tongue

- Tongue label length (red line): the fake Air Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott tongue tag extends higher/longer. On the real pair, that blue NIKE AIR label sits a bit lower and looks shorter in height.
- Tongue foam color (red squares): the fake tongue foam is a darker, more yellowed cream, while the real tongue foam looks lighter/paler .
- Lace wrap (red circles): the lace bundles are tied/wrapped differently. The real pair shows a tighter, more braided/checkered wrap with the colors alternating more clearly, while the fake bundle looks more loosely twisted and clumped, with less consistent color separation.
Laces

- Wrap tightness: the fake lace coil is wound tighter and more compact, with the loops sitting closer together. The real coil looks looser with slightly more spacing between the wraps.
- Pink shade: the fake pink reads a touch deeper and more muted (slightly “damped”), while the real pink looks a bit brighter and cleaner.
Insoles ( Front & Back)

On the underside of the insole, the fake has stronger horizontal press/roller lines (about 3–4 visible ribs), while the real insole is smoother with fewer, fainter lines that don’t extend as far.”

- insole NIKE AIR print (red circles): the fake print looks lighter and more “surface level” (thin, washed-out, less saturated), while the real print is cleaner and more even.
- Size sticker text (red arrows): the “MEN’S SIZE” wording is bolder the real sticker. On the fake it looks thinner .
- “12” size font: the fake sticker’s “12” is slightly larger and heavier, while the real “12” is a bit smaller and more balanced.
