As hideous as they are, the Adidas Yeezy Wave Runner 700 sold out and also caught the eyes of counterfeiters. Here is how to spot the Fake Adidas Yeezy Wave Runner .
The nubuck overlay’s hole is wider on the Fake Adidas Yeezy Wave Runner , see yellow circle. the placement of the perforations on the back panel is higher on the fakes-( the gap between the the first perforation and the edge of the midsole is higher on the fake pair). Also notice the color of the midsole, it is snow white on the fakes and light bone on the authentic pair.
Zero in on the carving on the bottom of the sole-the ridges, the width and the entire area is different between both pairs. See yellow square.
Again, fix your eyes on the forefoot area of the midsole; the shapes, the carving and the entire area do not match on both pairs, see yellow circle.
Check out the ridges on the back panel, on the authentic pair, they are more curvy and have a bell shape, but on the fakes the the ridge on the upper part is horizontal, and the one on the bottom isn’t as curvy as the ridge on the real pair. Check out the placement of the holes on the back panel; the holes on the authentic pair are closer to the edge of the midsole than the ones on the fakes.
Well, there you have it folks, I didn’t get a chance to see a picture of the box so I couldn’t tell do a comparison on that, so stay tuned for further updates.

I think they may already have a better version of these out that addresses many of the flaws above. This is one of the reasons I find it harder now to review real vs fakes. On some of my last vids it became a guarantee that someone would comment with “these are just bad fakes, there are better ones out there” and in almost every case they were right.
There is a particular seller I am dealing with on DHGate that has UB’s that have the 3 rows of nipples like real UB’s instead of the 4 commonly found on fakes. Their boost material also feels the same as real boost to the touch and on foot. When I asked them where they got this quality of fakes from all they would say is “we’re working closer with the factory now to fix all mistakes and offer the best product”.
There is still a flaw on them and all the improved UB fakes but as soon as I make the video pointing this out some company will find it and share it with the factories. It’s the last detail left in determining a fake or authentic and if they fix that there will be no way to tell a fake UB from an authentic. There is a pair in particular I have that I had to ask the seller several times if they came out of a factory that makes authentic UB’s. The pattern and boost is identical to my authentic.
Our ambitions are genuine in that we want to educate people who have zero desire to buy or be deceived by fakes but these companies in China are using our videos and sites to make corrections to the shoes. Unlike customers just complaining “these have flaws” we’re going into great detail to show what’s specifically wrong but unknowingly giving counterfeiters the blueprints to make corrections.
I understand what you are saying. A lot of the bootleg factories use our materials we put out there to improve their replicas. but I don’t think we should stop making those videos because somewhere it’s still helpful. What is the Dhgate seller store you’re referring to. i would love to see his store and products
