I nearly got mugged today in the mall while picking up a pair of the Adidas Yeezy 350 V2 Beluga 2.0. I’ll leave that story for another day; I picked up a couple of pairs today and wanted to quickly help you with detecting the fakes that already flooding several marketplaces.
Here is how to quickly spot the Fake Adidas Yeezy 350 V2 Beluga
Both pairs are in men’s size 8; I purposely did that to avoid any confusion. I will not talk about the difference in colors due to the lighting. So I’ll focus on nuances on the shoes. Look at the spacing between the “S” and the pull tab ( the gap is smaller on the fake). The tab is also a bit higher on the authentic pair and if you look at the lateral panel there is a subtle line; on the authentic pair the tab sits above the line but on the fake pair they intersect ( see yellow arrow pointing up). The gap between the tab and the midsole is smaller on the fake pair ( see yellow vertical line). The inclination on the heel panel is exaggerated on the authentic pair. The midsole of the authentic pair is translucent and you can see the boost material subtlety but on the fake the midsole is semi translucent.
Zero in on the yellow rectangle, if you look close enough the pattern pattern below the ankle liner is wider on the authentic pair.
The picture above is from another pair of fake I’ve come across as well; it basically reiterates everything I’ve already said.
Again you see how the gap between the tab and the midsole is bigger on the authentic pair. The position of the tab is completely off on the Fake Adidas Yeezy 350 V2 Beluga pair. I’ll also add that the outsole of the fake pairs appears wider at its base.
The font of the letters on the label are totally different between both boxes. And the UPC code is also not the same on the labels.
The label references are all wrong ( see yellow rectangle) and see the yellow arrow for the different sizing in the letters.
I’ll be adding more slides if I spot any other differences. This is not an exhaustive list and I’m sure the fakes will be upgraded very soon, so stay tuned for any other updates.
There is an upgraded version of the fakes I just came across, and this video below courtesy of Bimmers and Kicks shows you a comparison between the upgraded fake and the authentic pair. By the way, these fakes are now called the 98%ers ( because they are supposedly 98.9% close to the authentic). See video below
