I’ve always been a bit of a sneakers head. I love the way they look, the way they feel, and the way they smell. But there’s one thing that I love even more than buying new sneakers: dissecting them. There’s something about taking apart a brand new pair of shoes that just feels so satisfying. It’s like opening up a present on Christmas day. Each layer reveals something new. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, I haven’t had many opportunities to perform this operation. I can’t afford to waste my money, but thanks to YouTube channels like Rose Anvil, we can all take part in this process. Today, the Nike Air Max 2021 is on the chopping block, and I mean this literally. Rose Anvil will completely dissect it to reveal what’s underneath. Nike made some veiled claims about the shoe’s midsole,
it is split into 2 sections and cored out (like a honeycomb) for lightweight cushioning that lasts
Many brands do this; they make bold claims about their sneakers, demonstrating that they take their customers for granted. The majority of buyers will not dissect the shoe to see if those claims are true, and brands take advantage of this. However, there is a 1% who is willing to push the envelope.
I encourage you to watch the entire video before deciding whether you still want to buy the Air Max 2021 after this dissection.
The Nike Air Max 2021 Dissected For A Thorough Review
My personal observations
As anyone who’s ever worn them will tell you, Nikes are known for their comfort. And the Nike Air Max 2021 is no exception. The secret lies in the construction of the upper. It’s made from a breathable ripstop fabric from the toe to the midsection, with mesh and synthetic leather on the midsection. This combination of materials provides not only breathability but also support, so your feet will feel comfortable even when you’re putting them through their paces.
This to me is the most important part of the shoe, because that’s where most of the comfort comes from. The midsole mechanism looks great on the shoe but the question- does it deliver? Here is what Nike claimed on their website,
The dual-pressure Air-sole unit works in unison with a collapsible cage, delivering a brand new level of comfort whether you’re walking 5 miles or to the corner store.
It is important to know at the outset that the AM2021 wasn’t really designed for runners but casual use. Based on the dissection, there is no indication that the midsole was split into two sections and cored out for lightweight cushioning. So what was Nike talking about? Was this just a gimmick? I don’t want to spoil the video so I’ll encourage you to watch it thoroughly. Let me know what your thoughts are on the Air max 2021? Will you still consider buying a pair after watching the video?
