I shared a post yesterday calling out Adidas for mimicking the Nike Air Huarache silhouette with the new Adidas Prophere. I had a chance to see the shoes in person today and I ‘ll admit that they look great; nonetheless all I could think when holding them was the huarache. They feature a plush knitted upper with the three exorbitant panel overlays symbolizing the brand’s logo. The sole does look very chunky and is built with PU materials to deliver maximum cushioning to the wearer. The shoes are certainly winter ready and will keep your warm; they carry without a doubt the 90’s look Adidas intended butRead More →

The Saucony Originals Grid 8500 Ramen officially releases tomorrow and will be available in limited numbers. According to Saucony, The shoe features a mix of smooth & perforated Miso Brown leather , paneled in an engineered embroidered noodle like material to round out the upper. The outsole sports a transparent Miso broth with a garnish flecked design and an egg inspired Grid device to top it off. We’ve transformed the infamous Saucony river logo into a transparent Brown Miso river. On the tongue, you will find a debossed leather badge featuring a white Ramen bowl to symbolize a traditional porcelain serving bowl. To tie itRead More →

Jordan Brand made 2017 another strong year for the Jordan 13 Retro model. Most of the OG colorways were brought back this year at the exception of the Flint 13’s. The Flints are supposedly scheduled to drop in 2018 right around the Spring season if I’m not mistaken. Today I bring you the Air Jordan 13 Black Altitude Green, another one conservative colorway that I like. Dressed in an all black upper with green accents mainly on the outsole and jumpman logo, the shoes feature a mixture of full grain leather upper with a synthetic leather mudguard. The 13’s were built primarily for performance; TinkerRead More →

Tinker Hatfield is the genius behind the Air Max 1. In 1987 his ingenuity led him to create  the first shoe with visible air units- the air max 1. Over the past three decades , the AM1 has received so many makeovers in attempt to suit the customers’ needs for comfort and style. But with constant aesthetic upgrades, the once beloved AM1 1987 silhouette was no longer recognizable. So to celebrate its 30 year anniversary, Nike decided to lend an ear to the sneaker community. After many deliberations, it was decided that the 2004 “Urawa” Air Max 1 was the perfect reference for the shape and silhouetteRead More →

The month of January saw the return of Lebron’s Nike Air Zoom Generation in its original colorway. They were originally introduced in 2003 as a young LJ was entering the league.  He has definitely lived up to his expectations and has graced us with some of the best basketball highlights ever. I don’t recall the Zoom Generation sneakers being highly anticipated by many sneaker heads at the time ( it was 2003, and most of the old heads weren’t as hype driven  as today). You could literally walk in stores and there were still sizes of the shoes available for purchase. Lebrons’s sneakers took off a littleRead More →

On what was reportedly a vacation, Drake wore gray and white Nike Air Force 1s to match his gray sweatpants this holiday season. A red and white shirt completed his outfit. According to SandraRose Drake spent the day vacationing at the Edition Beach Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. Drake appeared quite comfortable in the Air Force 1s walking with ease and apparent purpose, while deep in thought when photographed. Click here to see photos of Drake wearing the Air Force 1s on the SanrdraRose website. Although one of his comrades also wore gray sweatpants, the friend did not sport the gray and white Nike Air Force 1s toRead More →

Nike did unleash the uptempo dragon with the countless iterations of the shoes they’ve come up with. A few days ago, I found out about the NYC uptempo which is part of the  city inspired collection  Nike has concocted. I think the whole idea is absurd but the brand was smart enough to make the pack limited. Well the bootleggers are paralleling Nike and they’ve come up with their own city inspired uptempo shoe, the Cleveland uptempo. I don’t think that is what they are dubbed but the shoes are dressed in the Cavaliers jersey uniforms. I said earlier last week that bootleggers had infiltratedRead More →

Supermodel Gigi Hadid was photographed in red lipstick wearing silver Reeboks  during a controversial fashion photo shoot for the new Love Magazine calendar. The Victoria’s Secret supermodel wore a hot red Tommy Hillfiger sports bra and shorts that perfectly matched her hot red lipstick while boxing, kicking, and stretching. Her top has an unusual feature, which is a half-circle cut out that allows the wearer to show both inside and bottom cleavage. Gigi’s hair appears wet and her skin dewy in most of the photographs. Whether the wet hair and dewy skin is from actually working out or the tricks of the modeling trade is unclear. Adidas and Kanye West announced the return of the highly coveted YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 for the end of 2017 and so far several colorways have dropped, the latest being the beluga V2 ( they were available in massive numbers). Coming out soon is the  Adidas Yeezy 350 V2 Blue Tint.  I’m not sure if these were produced in similar numbers as the Belugas, but I’ll be sure to give you an update on that. The Yeezy 350 v2 Blue Tint features a full primeknit upper with frozen “Blue Tint” accents. Executed with the Three Stripes innovative Primeknit uppers, the pattern sees three shades of grey threadedRead More →
