The Riccardo Tisci Nike Air Max 97 Mid 913314 001 releases officially tomorrow March 23. To be honest with you, I don’t like the aesthetic of the shoes. I’m used to the original low silhouette of the Air max 97, so seeing the Nikelab edition is like looking a patched up frankenstein, I don’t like them. I understand they were upgraded with premium grade leather materials but the adding that extra layer just doesn’t cut it for me.

The shoes come in a black and metallic gold color combination; they feature an added premium leather layer a couple inches above the ankle with debossed co-branding logos referencing Nike & Riccardo Tisci. They also have a small suede patch on the midsection with an additional gold Nike swoosh logo. Completing the shoes is the customary full length visible air units for maximum cushioning.
