Sharing is caring!

Paul Georges often referred to as PG13 is definitely on my list of favorite players; at 6″10 his ability to handle, drive, shoot the ball and play defensive as well is underrated. There aren’t that many two way players in the league right now so PG13 is among the elites. Great was my excitement when news and pictures of his first signature shoes emerged.

Interestingly enough, the Nike Paul Georges PG1 The Bait will come in the team’s obsidian and gold away uniform colors. I guess the nickname “the bait” was inspired by PG13’s love for fishing; the shoes feature a combination of mesh and nubuck ( I believe on the quarter panels). They also sport a forefoot strap supported by flywire cables and are equipped with Air units at the forefoot for a low profile yet responsive cushioning. I don’t have the shoes on hand so I’m not going to say anything about performance yet; one thing I know is that PG is a versatile SF with tremendous offensive skills ( he has a mid range, he can shoot the triple, can put the ball on the floor, can pass, he is a dunker and an above average on ball defender)- with that said , I’ll assume that the shoes were engineered with his on court abilities in mind. I can’t wait to actually test the shoes on the court. Nike’s key features are as follows :

  • Forefoot strap with Flywire technology loop system provides adaptive support

  • Zoom Air unit under the forefoot and plush sockliner provide responsive cushioning

  • Full-bootie construction delivers a snug, 1-to-1 fit

  • Multidirectional scale-inspired blade traction provides ultimate court grip
