You know the competition is fierce when JB is compelled to bring the big guns out. The Air Jordan 7 pantone was part of “Pantone collection” showcased in the 2010 World Basketball Festival. The very first sneaker to drop out of the pantone collection was the Jordan 11; they were released as a pack alongside the Jordan XX9 in December of 2014. If there is one area JB and Nike still dominate, it has to be basketball. Under Armour is nowhere close to disrupting JB and now that Kevin Durant has joined the warriors, Nike will definitely obliterate UA.
The shoes feature a university blue leather upper in keeping with the UNC uniform colors. Perforations will cover the panels to take of the ventilation needs. A Jumpman logo will occupy the quarter panel and additional JB logos will hit the back panel, outside of the tongue and outsole.
TheJordan 7’s were my shoes of choice for basketball for two years in a row; they feature an inner sleeve around the ankle to keep your foot locked in and comfortable. The tongue and its extension are padded and covered in perforations to keep your feet cool and dry. You also have a separation on the heel panel intended to enhance the air flow even more. They are easy to put on and sport a pull tab to facilitate the entry & exit. Cushioning is also not an issue with the 7’s. They are equipped with a PU midsole with encapsulated air units for shock absorption- like I said I played in them for two years and was pretty satisfied with them.
