The Fake Off White Air Jordan 2 has already made it way onto the scene and I wanted to warn you about it. Unfortunately no official images of the legitimate pairs are out yet. So there is no way for me to do a side by side comparison without the backdrop of an authentic pair. What I’ll do is show you detailed pictures of the fake pairs and point out key areas to zero in on in order to avoid them. But as always, I’ll advise you to go through our preliminary steps below
1. Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
2.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
There is no telling by just looking at the pictures above that they are fake. Actually fakes have acquired a new name, they are now being called Option B sneakers, to make them widely acceptable.
The picture above shows you the inside label of the White pair. At this point, since there is no authentic pair from Nike on hands for a side by side comparison, I’ll invite you to stay away from anyone whose production date matches the one in the picture above.
Repeat the same steps with the black pair’s inside label
I can guarantee you that the color code, box label and boxes of the authentic pair will not be similar to the ones in the picture above. You will also notice how very bold the font is on the labels. Moreover, there is no QR code or RFID identifier on the labels. So I’ll invite you to stay away from anyone who offers to sell you pair with boxes and labels similar to the one in the above pictures.
The laces are supposed to be filling the entire bag, you can clearly see that the bags are 2/3 full. This is a recurring problem with fakes.
On most fake pairs’ insoles, the logos are printed with a bad quality ink. So what as soon as one steps foot in the shoe, the print peels off. I can assure you that it will be the case with the insoles above.
Now let me add some pictures of the shoes to show you how incredible fakes have become.
Hopefully this is enough information to help you fend off the Fake Off White Air Jordan 2. I’ll update the post as soon as there are more flaws that I spot. You can check out our other real vs fake comparisons via the Legit Check page.
