Welcome back to another legit check episode, today we’ll quickly learn how to identify the Fake Nike Dunk Low Reverse Brazil. The shoe released a little over a month ago and was sought after by many. Because of its relatively high resale value, it is automatically a target for counterfeiters. The post will help you in identifying quick tips to bust the fakes.
First, let’s go through our preliminaries
Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.

Sides & Stitching: Fake Dunk Low Reverse Brazil
The stitching is crooked and loose on the fake pair, see red arrow. The red square shows you how the gap between the edge and the double stitching is wider on the real pair. On the replicas, the stitching is almost adjacent to the edge.
The red squares and rectangles show that the genuine pair of shoes features a grainy leather texture, while the fake pair has a more streamlined surface. The red arrows further emphasize the difference in thickness of the swoosh logo overlay. The legitimate pair’s swoosh lies mostly flat on the shoes, while the replicas are slightly elevated. If you also close in on the smaller red arrows, it shows you a similar difference on the eyestay, thicker leather edges on the fakes and almost flat on the real pair.
The forefoot of the fake Nike dunk low reverse Brazil also reveals several flaws. The green arrow shows you how the leather is once again much thicker on the eyestay of the replicas. The red arrows show you how the double stitching is adjacent to the edge on the fakes. The red lines also reveal two additional flaws: the gape between the hole and the edge of the forefoot overlay is wider on the authentic pair, and the stitching on the overlay is flat at its top on the fakes but rounded on the real pair.
Midsole
The red rectangle shows you how the stitching is white and revealed on the legit pair but concealed on the fakes. The yellow arrows show that the gaps between the green shapes is green on the real pair but black on the fakes.
A closer look at the heel reveals the same issue mentioned above.

Back
The “NIKE” text has slightly longer letters on the authentic pair. The font of the letters on the fakes is bolder. The gap between the bottom of the NIKE text and the edge of the heel tab is wider on the authentic pair. An the gap between the top of the NIKE text and the edge of tab is wider on the fakes. You can once again see how the stitching at the heel is revealed on the real pair but concealed on the fakes.
Box
The Fake pair comes with a completely different label. You can clearly see that the name of the shoe isn’t the same between both labels: the fake says dunk low retro while the authentic says Dunk Low Retro BTTYS. The fakes also feature both men and women sizes while the real pair only has the men’s.
