Welcome to another edition of the Legit Check! Today we’ll be discussing how to spot the Fake Nike SB Dunk Low LA Dodgers. I came across a well done side by side comparison video by Real Vs Fake Official via Youtube and here are the most relevant information I collected. We’ll cover a lot of the details, including the sides, the back, the toe, insole, outsole and more. So grab your shoes and let’s get started!
Side: Real Vs Fake Nike SB Dunk Low LA Dodgers
Let’s delve into the first noticeable difference between the authentic and counterfeit pairs, which can be found in the swoosh on the medial side. Upon close examination of the authentic pair, you will notice that the space between the swoosh and the sole is minimal. This is a stark contrast to the counterfeit pair, where the swoosh is noticeably placed higher, creating a larger gap.
This slight shift in placement impacts the overall shoe shape, making the counterfeit pair appear more chunky compared to its authentic counterpart. This difference persists when observed from the lateral view.

The swoosh almost grazes the base of the sole on the real pair. On the other hand, the counterfeit pair exhibits a clear gap between the swoosh and the sole, see red circle.
Outsole:

Turning the shoe over to examine the outsole, particularly at the heel, reveals another distinct difference. The shoe features a unique pink splatter paint design that is intended to mimic the look of stepped-on chewing gum. The pink color on the counterfeit shoe appears notably duller and more worn-out than on the real pair. Additionally, the area covered by the pink is significantly smaller on the fakes, see red squares. And the gum sole has a darker shade on the fakes as well, see yellow arrow.
Swoosh Stitching
The stitching on the fake pair is noticeably larger compared to that on the authentic pair. Furthermore, when examining the top outer edge of the swoosh, the stitching on the counterfeit pair stands out due to its enhanced visibility and clarity, a contrast to the subtler stitching on the genuine pair, see red arrows.
Toe
Observing the toe box, you’ll notice that the authentic pair sports a more narrow design compared to the counterfeit one, which exhibits a flatter and more squared-off look. The red circles highlight the broader spacing around the edges on the counterfeit pair. And the yellow dash shows you how the leather overlay is slightly wider on the fake pair.
Tongue label
The tree is of a slightly darker shade on the fake NIKE SB DUNK LOW LA DODGERS pair. Moreover, the double layered stitching is a little bit messy on the fakes, with some of the stitching overlapping compared to the retail one, where it’s very cleanly done, see yellow rectangle.
Back
The stitching is more vivid on the real pair, see red arrows. And if you close in on the midsole, notice how the stitching is slightly more exposed on the authentic pair.
Laces
Upon comparison, it’s evident that the shade of red varies between the two pairs. The counterfeit pair exhibits a darker red color, which contrasts with the authentic, more vibrant true red found on the retail pair.
Insoles: Front & Back
The grey color isn’t the same , it is quite obvious.
The text is more cleanly done on the authentic pair, it is vibrant and clear.
Box
The fake box comes in a smaller box in a different shade of purple. You can also see the visible vertical lines on its surface, indicating the inferior quality carboard that was used to make it.
