In today’s legit check presentation, we will learn how to quickly spot and identify the fake Air Jordan 6 Travis Scott British Khaki. The legitimate pair dropped on April the 30th and retailed for $250. The shoe was extremely limited and major third party marketplaces have only recorded very few sales thus showing how scarce the model is.
Areas we will focus on for this comparison are going to be, the back, the perforations on the panels, the side bags, the cactus jack logo, spacing in the elements of the shoe, the box label, and more. But before we do that, let’s go through our preliminary steps.
1. Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
2.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
The gap between the “air” text and the edge of the midsole is wider on the authentic pair. You’ll also notice how the pull tab extends further on the real pair ( see red line). And lastly the suede on the authentic pair has a much rougher texture.
These is a gap between the “u” and the “s” on the back of the right pair of the authentic Jordan 6 Travis Scott, see yellow arrow. The yellow circle shows you the differences in the leather material ( much rougher and hairy on the legitimate pair). Also notice how the gap between the “c” and the back tab is much wider on the legitimate pair ( see red square).
On the right pair, you’ll notice that the gap between perforations and the edge of the midsection underlay is wider on the authentic pair ( see yellow dashes). Also zero in on the gap between the perforations and the edge of the forefoot underlay, it is much wider on the authentic pair ( see yellow arrows).
On the left pair, the gap between the perforations and the edge of the mid section underlay is wider on the real pair ( see yellow arrow). Also look at the gap between the quarter panel parallel lines and the bag, it is much wider on the fake pair. The parallel lines are almost adjacent to the bag on the real pair.
There is a gap between the bag and the heel liner on the authentic pair, but on the fake pair, the bag is almost non existent. The yellow circles show you how the parallel lines are adjacent to the stitching around the bag on the legitimate pair.
The cactus jack logo has a wider jaw on the authentic pair. On the fake pair, the face is too round.
The air chamber is much wider on the authentic pair, you can also see white spots on the screen of the fake pair ( poor paint job).
The cactus jack logo on the box has more spacing in the hair on the real pair, the hair on the fake is more compacted. The font is also much thicker on the fake pair.
The font of the letters is much bolder on the fake label. The MSRP tear up sticker is also missing on the fake. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the shoe is fake but it is good to know that most fakes don’t have it. You’ll also see a subtle serpentine shape behind the label of the authentic pair, that is the RFID identifier. That shape is nowhere to be seen on the fake label.
