Welcome to another edition of the Legit Check! Today we’ll be discussing how to spot the Fake Air Jordan 6 Toro Bravo. I came across a couple of videos via Youtube and wanted to share my findings. I have to admit that I actually like the replica pair better, especially the Red color it features. For this comparison, we’ll focus on the sides, the back, tongue, the toe, box and more. So grab your shoes and let’s get started!
But first, let’s go through our preliminary steps.
Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
Toe: Fake Jordan 6 Toro Bravo
Two batches of the fake pair have already been released. With the first batch, you can clearly see how how the fake pair has a bulkier toe than the real pair, see yellow arrow. And another recurring problem is highlighted by the yellow lines, the forefoot portion of the outsole is much wider on the real pair. And the gap on the outsole is wider but not at as high on the real pair, see red circle. The green arrow shows you how the red color pointed out is more glossy and vibrant on the fakes.
The fake pair comes with a more vibrant shade of red, you can clearly see the differences between both pairs.
Top view
The fake pair features a vibrant red color while the real pair comes in the actual Toro bravo red color.
Back
The Jumpman logo is placed higher on the authentic pair, see yellow line. The yellow arrow highlights the difference in the color shade. The heel patch is more plush on the authentic pair, you can see how much denser it looks.
On this second batch of the fake Air Jordan 6 Toro Bravo, you’ll notice how the Jumpman logo is actually darker, see yellow arrow. They still didn’t fix the spacing error between the Jumpman logo and the edge of the midsole ( it is still smaller on the fakes).
I wanted to give you a better look at the heel tab, you can see how much plush it looks on the authentic pair. Moreover, the lines on the patch are more apparent on the fakes.
The red strip on the heel tab comes in a vibrant red shade on the real pair , but on the fakes the red is dormant and flat, see yellow arrow.
Tongue
The tongue of the fake pair is shorter, this is always a recurring problem with most counterfeit pairs.
The Jumpman logo has a torso that is poking out on the fake pair. And the area containing the Jumpman logo is slightly shinier and glossier on the authentic pair, see yellow arrow.
You can clearly see from the front view that the Real pair comes with a higher tongue, see yellow arrow and line.
Air unit
The air unit is cloudy and foggy on the real pair but clear on the fakes.
Box
The authentic pair comes in a much larger box and different shade of red, it’s obvious to the eyes.
The font of the letters and numbers is bolder on the fake pair’s label , see yellow highlights.
There you have it folks, hopefully you’ll be able to spot the Fake Air Jordan 6 Toro Bravo with these tips.
