But first, let’s go through our preliminary steps.
Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
Toe: Real Vs Fake Jordan 3 J Balvin
As you can see from the image above, the real pair’s toe is more sleek than the fake ( as it appears slightly more bulky). Also the elephant print has a darker tone to it on the replica pair, see green rectangle. Finally the midsole also appears slightly darker on the fakes, see red rectangle.
Tongue
The Jumpman logo appears brighter on the authentic pair, and if you zero in on the legs, they are much thinner on the real pair as well, see red circle. The laces have very visible patterns on them on the fake pair, but the legit pair’s laces doesn’t have that, see red square.
Hangtag: Fake J Balvin Jordan 3
The hangtag is yellow on the fake pair but almost orange/yellow on the real pair. If you also take a close look at the lightning graphic, it is flipped on the fake pair, see red circles.
Insole
The green rectangles show you how the sunset color isn’t the same between both pairs, there is more purple on the fake one.
Outsole
The replica pair’s outsole is more icy and you can’t quite make out the circular threads and Nike text on it. The real pair on the other hand is more milky and the circular threads and Nike text more legible on it.
What The Black Light Test Revealed
The eyelets and lace holes are fluorescent under the black light on the fake pair, but yellow on the real pair, see green circles.
Box: Fake J Balvin air Jordan 3
The aureole has thicker bands on the fake pair, see green circles, you can’t miss it.
The purple color on the smiley face has a somber tone on the replica pair, see green circles. The aureole around the smiley face is of a lighter shade, it is quite obvious , zero in on the green shapes. The green arrow shows you how the smiley face is slightly bigger on the fake pair.
The tissue paper is almost orange/yellow on the fake but yellow on the real pair.
No comments needed, the differences are obvious.
