The Air Jordan 12 Playoffs are returning for the nth time in a few days and they are sure coveted by all within the sneaker community. Counterfeited pairs have been circulating for months now and today I finally had an opportunity to write a post that will teach you how to spot and identify the Fake Air Jordan 12 playoffs. Before we go through the side by side comparison, let’s first take care of the preliminary steps.
Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
Lateral Side
The plastic tab on the panels is silver on the real pair and grey on the fakes. The leather material on the quarter panels is glossy on the legitimate pair but matte/flat on the fakes ( see red squares). The metallic eyelets are slightly metallic gold on the authentic pair but silver on the fakes. Plus they have extra ridges on the replicas as well ( see red circles).
Plastic Tab/ Mudguard
You can clearly see the variances in the color shade of the plastic tab ( silver on the real pair and grey on the fake). On the real pair, the leather overlay on the mudguard is trimmed higher, as shown by the red lines.
Back( Left Pair)
Both the pull tab and the Jordan tab are smaller on the fake pairs. Moreover the number “23” is smaller and of a lighter shade of red.
Back( Right Pair)
The edges of the midsole are crooked on the fake pair ( see yellow arrows). And just like on the left pair, the tabs are shorter on the replicas.
Inside Label
The production dates aren’t the same but that isn’t such a big deal ( dates can vary). But the markings at the bottom are illegible on the fakes ( that’s a good tip to consider).
Box Labels
I purposely added two pictures to show you how shorter the fake Air Jordan 12 playoffs label is. The letters are more contracted on the fake pair’s label ( see yellow lines0.
RFID behind the label
In the video below, I discuss the RFID in depth, this is a very key detail and I’ll invite you to watch the video.
There you have it folks, I hope you will be able to legit check the Air Jordan 12 Pllayoffs. I’ll update the post as soon as a new batch of fakes appears. In the meantime, do not buy this shoe from anyone unless all things above that I mentioned are cleared.
