The Fake Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey has been out for several months. And that shouldn’t be a surprise, one of the most counterfeited silhouette in the Jordan line is the 11 model. Several upgraded versions of the fakes have surfaced. In this post I will show you how to authenticate your pair. The areas I will focus on are the jumpman logo, stitching, the material, the outsole, the box and its label, and more. But prior to showing you the nuances, let’s go through our preliminaries.
. Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
Jumpman Logo/ Heel Material
Suede leather is the material used on the surface. The surface of the fake pair is too smooth, as indicated by the red circles. Pay attention to the shape of the jumper as well as the stitching. The craftsmanship on the real pair is far superior.
The fake pair’s outsole is more cloudy and doesn’t have the icy blue tint, see red circles and arrows.
On the next slide, I will show you pictures of an upgraded pair, you will see how hard it is to see the differences, they are very abysmal.
Both pairs are pretty much identical. The only differences are the size of the ball ( slightly bigger on the fakes), and the stitching on the arms ( a bit loose on the replica pair).
The picture above is from an upgraded pair, the differences are so hard to detect. But a closer inspection shows that the fake pair’s outsole is a bit more translucent than the authentic pair ( see red circles and arrows). You can see the jumpman a bit better on the fakes. Furthermore the jumpman logo on the fake pair appears to have a lot more girth, see red arrows.
One of the main areas to focus on is the box. The font of the “9” is much thicker on the fake box label. The fake pair comes in a smaller box and there are lines on it ( see red rectangle).
Black Light Test
Submit the shoe to the black light, and if the trace dots above show, you certainly know that you’ve been dealt a fake pair.
There you have it folks, I hope you will be able to spot the Fake Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey with these tips. I’ll update the post as soon as I come up with more flaws. In the meantime, do not buy this shoe from anyone unless all things above that I mentioned are cleared.
