Welcome to another edition of the Legit Check! Today we’ll be discussing how to spot the Fake Air Jordan 1 High Stage Haze Bleached Coral. I came across a well done side by side comparison video by Real Vs Fake Official via Youtube and here are my findings. We’ll cover a lot of the details, including the sides, the back, tongue, insole, box and more. So grab your shoes and let’s get started!
But first, let’s go through our preliminary steps.
Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
Side
You may not see it clearly but if you zero in on the black overlays highlighted by the yellow arrow, you’ll notice how they are shiny on the fake pair but flat on the real one.
This is a closer picture of the overlays and the swoosh logo, you can clearly see how it is more shiny and glossy on the counterfeit pair but flat on the authentic one. If you close in on the heel, you’ll notice how the cracks are move vivid on the fakes but subtle on the authentic pair, see yellow rectangle.
Ankle Strap
The real pair’s strap features a soft tumbled leather material while the fake comes in some type of plastic coated leather ( you son’t even see the wrinkles on it, it is smooth).
Tongue
The lining around the Nike Air Text and logo is thicker and bolder on the real pair, it is quite obvious.
The tongue tab comes with a thicker and bolder font on the real pair while the Fake Air Jordan 1 High Stage Haze tab is a bit washed up.
Back
The grey color is of a lighter shade on the authentic pair, see red square.
Insole
The authentic pair comes with a salmon pink insole while the fake comes with a different shade of pink.
Laces
Not only do the fake laces come in a smaller bag, but they are pink on the fake and salmon pink on the authentic one.
Box
The red on the nike text is a bit brighter on the fake box and the authentic box comes in darker box.
The fake pair’s label comes with the wrong shoe name and the font of the letters and sizing is bolder on the fakes.
