Welcome back to another edition of legit check, in today’s post we’ll learn how to spot and identify the Fake Air Jordan 1 High Seafoam. I was able to secure two pairs yesterday locally and used my own pictures in this side by side comparison. Areas we’ll focus on will be the wings logo, the tongue tab, the hang tag, the material, stitching, insole, box label, back, and more.
But before we get into checking out the nuances, let’s go through our preliminary steps.
1. Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
2.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
Wings logo
This is a recurring thing with most Fake Jordan 1 high’s. The elements and feathers of the replica pair are more spaced out, refer to both yellow and red arrows.
Tongue tab
Another typical problem with most counterfeit pairs of the Jordan 1’s is the placement and size of the “nike air” text on the tongue tab. You can see that on the authentic pair, the “AIR” text is almost adjacent to the edge at the bottom. Also look at the letters of the “Nike” text, they appear much thinner on the authentic pair.
Back
The shoe is built with a hairy like premium leather material ( zero in on the yellow square, you’ll see how smooth the surface looks on the fake pair). The double stitching is more spaced out on the real pair ( see yellow arrows). And there is a gap between the heel tab and white swoosh logo on the fake Air Jordan 1 high seafoam ( see red arrows).
Hangtag
The beads of the hangtag are black on the authentic pair and silver on the fakes. The letters of “AIR” text are much thinner on the legitimate pair.
Toe Area
You can clearly see how the surface of the leather material is a bit rougher on the authentic pair . Also look at the double-stitches, they are slightly more spaced out on the legitimate pair.
Lace bag
This is also a recurring thing on most fake Jordan 1’s, the lace bag is almost always half full on the fake pair and 3/4 full or more on the authentic one.
Insole
The logo will probably disappear as soon as the wearer steps foot in there because it is made with a cheap ink.
Box label
No comments needed here, the fake pair comes in the wrong box and wrong identifier.
Hopefully, this is enough information to help you legit check the Air Jordan 1 High Seafoam
