Today we will learn to identify the fake air jordan 1 high hyper royal. I wrote a projection post on the Hyper Royal Jordan 1 High yesterday, check the link below
As you all know the shoe is going to be extremely limited which means that the replica industry is going to feast on it. The fake air jordan 1 high hyper royal has been out for several weeks and today we’ll quickly learn how to spot and identify it. I leaned on information I collected via youtube and more precisely from icollectkicks. He had both the authentic and the fake on hand and showed the existing flaws. But before I show you the flaws, it is always good to start with our precautionary steps.
1. Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
2.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
Now let’s check out the flaws.
The authentic pair is slightly wider than the fake pair ( see red line). And another obvious show is the shade of the shoe, the real pair has a darker shade. And you can also see how the ankle liner has a deeper cut on the fake pair ( see red lines).
The spacing in between the elements of the wings logo is slightly bigger on the fake pair, and the wings logo itself has a lighter shade ( you can see the difference in the craftsmanship, it’s subtle but it’s there).
When you submit the authentic pair to the black light, there are blue sparkles that appear on its midsole ( see the blue dots). The fake pair doesn’t have that reaction when submitted to the same test.
The laces pretty much fill the entire bag on the authentic pair, but on the fakes, you can see there is a gap between the edge of the laces and the opening of the bag ( see yellow line).
The markings and logos on the shoe tree are more subtle on the authentic pair. On the fake pair, the markings are more apparent and defined.
The phrase ” die cut sockliner” is missing on the inside of the fake pair’s shoe tree.
The “die cut sockliner” is nowhere to be seen on the fake shoe tree.
On the authentic pair, the USA size is highlighted and bolder than the other countries’ sizes. But on the fake pair, the font is the same for all sizes ( see yellow circle and square). The tear up dots are also missing on the MSRP sticker ( see yellow arrow).
The tear up dots are missing on the fake high hyper royal 1’s MSRP sticker ( see yellow arrow). And also check out the spacing between the “MSRP” text and the divider, it’s wider on the authentic pair ( see red arrow).
There you have it folks, I hope this helps you in identifying the Fake Hyper Royal 1.
