Recently, counterfeiters have been getting better and better at making fake versions of popular sneakers. The most recent victim of this is the Jordan 4 A Ma Maniere. In this post, we’ll show you how to spot the fake A Ma Maniere Air Jordan 4 so you don’t get burned next time you’re looking to buy a pair. Read on!
First, let’s go through our preliminary steps, they are very important.
Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
.Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.

You can clearly see that the colors are slightly different between both pairs. Moreover, the fake Jordan 4 A Ma Maniere has a bulkier toe box ( see yellow arrows and circles).
Back
The heel overlay is cut slightly higher on the fake pair ( see smaller yellow line). And the fake Pair is also much higher than the real one ( see longer yellow line). Both pairs are size 12s by the way. The yellow arrow shows you how the gap pointed out is wider on the fake pair. I’m not sure how to clearly define the nuances on the heel tabs but they are noticeable ( I’ll say the rectangular shapes are bolder on the real pair’s heel tab). Also the ” NIKE” logo letters are much bigger on the authentic pair especially the I, K and E.
Front
The netting grids are thicker on the fake pair ( it is a subtle but common difference with most fake Jordan 4’s).
Air Unit
The screen is more transparent ( you can see through it) on the authentic pair. Zero in on it, the white shapes are more visible on the real pair. And the black portion of the midsole is more shiny on the legitimate pair and very dull on the fakes.You’ll also notice some differences in the materials used.
Hang Tag
The Fake pair has a wings logo while the real pair has a jump man logo. Also the writings is of a darker print on the fakes. And the chain on which the tag hangs is gold on the fake pair and silver on the real one.
You can clearly see the differences in the keychains.
Box Lid: Inside
The ” A Ma Maniere” text is bolder on the fake but the graphic behind it are blurry, darker and harder to see on the counterfeit pair, see both arrows.
Box
The “A”s shapes are horizontal on the fake box and vertical on the real box.
The red circles are showing you that the differences in the colors of the box. The yellow line shows you how much wider the real pair’s box is.
The “A” is missing on the fake pair’s box, see yellow circle.
Insoles
The authentic pair’s insole is more plush and puffy with better materials overall.
The ” texts” are slightly bolder on the authentic pair’s label ( see red arrows). The size sticking has a bigger gap at its bottom, see red circles.
This is the back of the insoles. You can see that the squares are more puffy and smooth on the authentic pair but rough on the fakes.
Fake A Ma Maniere Air Jordan 4: Black Light Test
When you submit the fake pair to the black light, you clearly see the pen marks and dots on it.
