Welcome to another edition of the Legit Check! Today we’ll be discussing how to spot the Fake Air Jordan 3 Fear Pack. The shoe hasn’t officially released yet but there are already tons of fakes circulating. I was able to collect some images of both the fake and the legitimate pair and pinned them against one another to point out the differences. For this comparison, we’ll focus on the sides, the back, the midsole, the toe, tongue and more. So grab your shoes and let’s get started!
But first, let’s go through our preliminary steps.
Smell the shoes ( only if you’ve already made the purchase)
One of the dead giveaway is the smell/odor of the glue uses to construct the replicas. If the glue smell is really strong to the point of irritating your nostrils, then you’ve probably being dealt a counterfeit
Proof of Purchase
Ask for a proof of purchase. Receipt must include details such as provenance, time of purchase, date and any other relevant information. If a seller is reluctant to provide that, I will strongly urge to refrain from following through with the purchase.
Side: Real Vs Fake Air Jordan 3 Fear Pack
If you zero in on the elephant print overlay, you’ll notice how the cracks and the prints have a darker shade on the authentic pair but appear pale and washed on the fakes, see yellow circles. The yellow line nd arrows show you how the speckles stop midway on the replica pair but spread much further on the legitimate one.
This is a better picture of the midsole speckles I just mentioned, you can clearly see how they spread beyond the air chamber on the real pair but stop half way above the air unit on the replica pair, see yellow rectangles.
The leather material isn’t the same on the mid section panel, you can see wrinkles on the authentic pair that are nowhere to be seen on the fakes which feature a much smoother surface.
Tongue
The fake Jordan 3 Fear Pack has a much shorter tongue and its liner appears flat and not rounded like the one on the legit pair, see yellow lines. The Jumpman logo is much smaller, chubbier, with wider spread legs on the fakes, see yellow arrow. The yellow rectangles show you how the grey lace eyelets are much bigger on the authentic pair.
Toe: Fake Jordan 3 Fear Pack
The grey color isn’t of the same shade between both pairs and once again there is a clear distinction between the leather material as indicated by the subtle wrinkles on the real pair, see yellow square. The yellow dashes show you how both the elephant print and the toe overlay right above it are cut much higher on the legitimate pair.
Back

Box Label
There is a clear significant gap between the “AIR Jordan 3 Retro” text and the color code on the fake pair’s label, see yellow dash. And if you look at the font of the letters , they are slightly bolder on the replica pair’s label.
Inside Label
The fake pair was produced at a earlier date ( but that isn’t always a good way to authenticate a pair, even though worth mentioning). And if you zero in on the letters, they have a much darker print on the fake label.
There you have it folks, hopefully you’ll be able to spot the Fake Air Jordan 3 Fear Pack with these tips. I’ll update the post as soon I come across more detailed tips to look for, stay tuned and check the post regularly. You can check out our other real vs fake comparisons via the Legit Check page.
