Chris Aponte who did the comparison shows you this difference in the size of the cactus jack logo by placing a dime on it on both pairs. On the fakes, you’ll notice how the side of the face is sticking out, see yellow arrows. On the real pair, the whole face is covered.
Tongue Tag
For this comparison, it was really all about the fine details because replica companies have nearly perfected this shoe. If you pay close attention to the Nike Logo on the tongue tag, you’ll notice that the “E” is very wavy/ spiky on its back. And the same can be said about the other letters. That’s because of the poor craftsmanship due to the lack of proper equipments.
The picture above shows you a cut out picture of the back of the “E”. You can clearly see how spiky it looks.
Toe Area
The edges of the leather overlay are supposed to be rough with some sort of fringes around it. If you pay close attention ( see yellow arrow), the edges are smoother on the fake pair ( which by the way I like better).
Wings Logo
This is another one of those fine details that I was referring too. The font of the letters is slightly bigger on the fake pair’s wings logo. This is the reason the D and the A are almost adjacent on the fake pair. Check out the yellow arrow to see the slight difference in the spacing.
Fake Air Jordan 1 High Mocha Footbed
The stamping is missing on the Fake pair’s foot bed , see yellow circle.
Box
The fake pair’s box has a different shade of brown ( of a darker shade of brown), you can use whatever qualifier that suits you, but the bottom line is, the colors aren’t the same.
Black Light Test
The pivot circle on the outsole of the fake pair shows multiple stamping ( about four m letters) when submitted to the black light. The authentic pair doesn’t produce the same result under the black light.
