Nike is giving its basketball sneakers a much-needed makeover. The company’s latest, dubbed the Nike LeBron 3 Barbershop, is a nod to the iconic barbershop poles. The shoes are dressed in a black, metallic silver, university red, and game royal color scheme, with red, white, and blue stripes running down the sides. The shoes also feature “BBZ” embroidery on the left medial toe, a nod to LeBron James’ children Bronny, Bryce , and Zhuri . The right shoe features Akron’s 330 area code.

Nike Lebron 3 The Shop: Resale Value
The chart above gives you the current earnings/losses of the shoe per size sold. As you can clearly see it from the data collected, 11 out of 14 sales , that is 79% of resulted in major losses while 14% led to profits between $40 and $45. The remaining 7% resulted in a profit under $10. The sales’ data for the sizes that resulted in significant returns were 5 and 3 respectively ( so although small they can trusted). But what’s the verdict on the Lebron 3 Barbershop?
I wouldn’t recommend it at all for resale purposes. The shoe hasn’t even officially released yet and it is being sold for under retail. But for buyers and collectors, as always in these cases, it is extremely good news, you’ll be able to purchase a pair for retail or less.

True. I purchased one pair for retail on Nike.com the day of release. Fast forward to November found a 2nd perfectly intact pair, box, tissue paper and all for 50% off at my local Mom & Pops store. Definitely could’ve waited. Will try to catch the 2’s on a heavy discount like that, either colorway, gold or navy pair is just fine with me.
it is definitely a great shoe. But just like any other basketball shoe, within a couple of years, the value will rise. It all depends on the reason behind the purchase.
