In a continuous effort to celebrate diversity and honor different cultures, leading sports brand Nike has launched the Nike Air Max 1 Familia, a new edition specially designed in recognition of Latino Heritage Month. This follows their previous successful releases, “La Familia” and “Solos Familia”.
The shoe features a unique blend of Hemp, Pinksicle, and Sanddrift shades, blending different materials like mesh, leather, suede, and corduroy. This combination reflects the diverse and colorful nature of the Latino heritage. Nike’s attention to detail is evident in the embroidered detailing and the “Familia” emblem that adorns the right tongue, insoles, and the eye-catching packaging. Adding to the aesthetic appeal and comfort is a Sail midsole with a visible Air unit in the heel, all sitting on a multi-color rubber outsole.
This release is not just a testament to Nike’s commitment to diversity but also a celebration of the Hispanic community, their heritage, and their significant contribution to global culture. If you’re looking to grab a pair, refer to the details below

First, let’s see if the shoe is actually trending i.e are people searching for it?
Over the past week, interest in the shoe has been quite inconsistent and lacked intensity. The majority of spikes didn’t even surpass 50, with the highest surge observed on September 24th, around 6:00 am. This peak most likely corresponds with the time when most sneaker blogs published their press release articles about it. However, this spike in interest was short-lived as it quickly diminished to a meager 25, which is notably low. As of now, the interest level stands at absolute zero.
There were no sales recorded on major third party marketplaces i.e StockX and eBay and the only site outside of Nike carrying the shoe right now is Flightclub at an average sale price of $232. I do not have any sales’ data from them but at $232, you’re looking at a +$63 profit margin, a 43% mark up, 2.8 times above average. It sure seems as if this shoe will be an ideal one to target but with no actual sales confirmed and the low search volume on it ( weak trend), I will be careful about pulling the trigger on it. I’ll continue to monitor it and update the post as time progresses, stay tuned.
