There are certain sneakers that command one’s attention and the air Jordan 1 high palomino definitely qualifies as one of those gems you can’t keep your eyes off. It radiates quality and the harmonious blend of colors on the upper is nothing short of remarkable. I confess, I have a soft spot for earthy and olive tones, so perhaps I’m a tad biased.
There’s no singular inspiration behind the Palomino 1, other than its perfect alignment with fall colors. Its design features a Black, Metallic Gold, Palomino, and Sail color scheme. The base is crafted from black leather, complemented by brown suede overlays and metallic gold branded nylon tongues. It also boasts a black inner lining, a sail midsole, and a brown rubber outsole, culminating in a complete design that’s both striking and harmonious.
The shoe will be available in men’s and grade school sizes, presented in special packaging and accompanied by an extra set of laces. If you’re looking to pick up a pair, refer to the details below

Now let’s see how the shoe is performing on third party marketplaces.
Resale Value: Jordan 1 Palomino
The chart above gives us a summary of the average sale price of the shoe since August 30, 2023 on the secondary market. As you can see, prices went from $209 on the 30th down to $203 the very next day, this decreasing by $6. It is actually remarkable that prices are still in the low $200’s considering the fact that all the past Jordan 1 highs that were released at the exception of certain classics were already below their MSRP. But let’s investigate this further by looking at the five number summary,
Minimum: 173
Quartile Q1: 194.75
Median: 197
Quartile Q3: 208
Maximum: 254
The lowest sale recorded was $173 for a size 9.5 while the highest sale was $254 for a size 11. About 25% of the sales were between $173 and $195 ( see next chart for sizes). Half of the shoes sold between $195 and $208 and the remaining 25% sold between $208 and $254.
There were 8 outliers, {$173, $231, $231, $234, $246, $249, $250, $254}. With the outliers disregarded, the overall average resale value is about $198 with a 4% volatility. At $198, you’re looking at an -$11 loss if you’re a Day Trader. But don’t let that discourage you, there were some outliers which indicate that certain sizes might be worth targeting right now, see chart below.
Observations
71% of the sales led to losses that is sizes 7-9.5,10,10.5,11.5 and 13. 21% generated earnings under $15 ( sizes 11,6.5 and 12). Sizes 14 and 15 produced the most returns with $19 and $39 respectively. so in conclusion, we can see that the only sizes worth reselling right now are sizes 14 and 15 and that shouldn’t come as a surprise. Every other size leads to mark ups under normal or losses and wouldn’t be worth the investment.
But you’ll notice that even though 93% of the sales generated unpleasant returns, most pairs are still selling up to 10% above the suggested retail price and that’s a very good thing. Although the shoe might not be worth investing it for the short term, this is certainly a sneaker you want to invest in with the long term in mind. I would not be surprised if within a 18 months span, most pairs are selling between $250 and $300. In other words, grab as many pairs as you can if you have working capital, you won’t regret it.
