Yeezy 350 Slate Carbon: Resale Value
The chart above gives us a breakdown of the average sale price of the shoe since May 27,2022. As you can see, there was a major drop from the 27th to the 28th, that’s because only one single sale occurred on May 27th, for a size 9.5 for $670. It was probably from an impulsive buyer who might have thought that the shoe was going to be extremely limited. The resale value will probably lie within the $280 to $300 interval based on the data. I’m sure a considerable number of pairs will be released so don’t expect prices to skyrocket. Let’s also consider our five number summary for additional insights.
Minimum: 250
Quartile Q1: 265.75
Median: 278.5
Quartile Q3: 300
Maximum: 670
The lowest the shoe sold for was $250 ( for a size 7.5), while the highest sale recorded was $670 for a size 9.5. It’s important to note that sizes 9.5’s are now selling for prices between $250 and $300. 1/4 of the shoes sold for values from $250 to $266 ( a size 7.5, 4 size 9.5, a size 11.5, 6 size 12). Half of the shoes sold for prices between $266 and $300 ( a size 6, 2 size 8, a size 8.5, 4 size 9, 2 10’s, a 10.5, 5 11’s, a size 11.5, 4 size 12, and 3 size 13). Another 25% sold for prices between $300 and $670 ( a size 8.5, 9.5, 10,10.5, 11.5, 2 size 12, a 13.5 and 14.5). There were three outliers ( irregular values)
Set of outliers: {486, 550, 670} corresponding to sizes 13.5, 14.5 and 9.5 ( but we can disregard the 9.5 at this point).
Without the outliers, the overall resale value is $283, leading to a profit margin of +$13, for a 5.33%. Let’s see the sizes that are actually worth reselling.
The shoes haven’t even dropped yet but overall the current earnings are weak. 7% are leading to losses, 64% are leading to profit under $25. 21% are leading to profit between $25 and $60, and 14% are leading to astronomical returns, between $198 and $256. What’s the verdict?
Verdict
Unless you’re getting extremely hard sizes to find i.e 13.5, 14.5 or anything above, I wouldn’t recommend reselling the Yeezy 350 Carbon Slate. The shoe will certainly sell out but on most common sizes, the resale will be weak. And don’t expect any major increases for at least a year and some change.
