Valentine’s Day is usually associated with shades of red and pink, but this year Nike has veered away from that traditional color palette. The new Women’s Nike Dunk Low Yellow Heart aka Valentine’s Day is a modern interpretation of love and romance, and I actually like the route Nike took.
The shoe features a White tumbled leather upper with smooth leather overlays and mesh tongues. A Sail Swoosh adorns its lateral side alongside a yellow heart motif that appears on the outer ankle as well as on some branded areas. The two-tone rubber outsole complements the upper perfectly, creating an overall cohesive look.
The yellow heart offers a subtle yet eye-catching touch to an otherwise muted colorway. It strikes just the right balance between subtlety and boldness, making this pair perfect for those who want to make a statement without going overboard. And since it features muted colors like white, tan, and grey, this sneaker easily fits into any wardrobe that contains neutral colors!
How to Rock Them
This iteration of the classic Nike Dunk Low can be easily styled with almost any type of clothing you choose; however, there are certain looks that will really bring out its vibes in all their glory. Think streetwear pieces like cargo pants or joggers paired with a matching oversized hoodie or sweatshirt – great for chilly days! If you want something more fitted, try pairing your dunks with jeans or chinos in darker colors such as black or navy blue along with a simple white T-shirt or tank top – perfect for warm summer days!

Valentine’s Day Nike Dunk Low: Resale Value
Popularity/demand
Interest for the shoe has been up and down with several peaks ( the highest was at 100 between June 26 and July 2nd). Interest died out between September 26 and November 26, and picked back up again and reached almost a 75/100 score in the early days of December. It went down again only to rise to a score slightly below 50 by mid January and has been dead ever since. The ratio between the current demand for the shoe and supply on third party marketplaces is about 54:68, that is actually pretty good, let’s check the current sell through rate.
Sell Through Rate
The STR is about 63%, 1.6 times above average, that’s good news for day traders.
Current Average Resale Value
The chart above gives us a breakdown of the average sale price of the shoe since the 6th of February. Initially at $156, it dropped to $140 before surging to $143 and eventually declining to $135. Over the last three days, the highest recorded average was seen at $145, followed by a low of $132. The last three days saw a high of $145 followed by the lowest average at $132 and as of February the 12th, the average sale price is $136. Let’s find our five number summary for further details.
Minimum: 108
Quartile Q1: 133
Median: 140
Quartile Q3: 144.5
Maximum: 171
The lowest sale recorded was $108 for a size 10w on 2/9/23 while the highest sale was $171, for a size 9w recorded on 2/8/23. 1/4 of the shoes sold for prices from $108 to $133 ( see next chart for sizes). 50% sold for prices between $133 and $145 and the top 25% sold for prices between $145 and $171. The outliers were as follows {108, 115, 163, 171, 171} and they corresponded to sizes 10w,7w, 8w,8w and 9w. It is safe to say that most pairs will sell for prices between $130 and $160. With the outliers taken away, the overall average sale price is $139 with a 6.5% volatility, that’s actually really good. Now let’s look at the current returns per size sold.
55% of the shoes led to profit margins under $10 ( with one pair , the size 10 w leading to a $3 loss). 36% led to earnings between $10 and $20 ( sizes 8w,9w,7.5w and 6w) and only one pair , the size 11.5w led to a $24 profit ( the sale’s count on the 11.5 is only one, that’s a small sample size). Most of the pairs led to a mark up of 8% ( twice below average), so what’s the verdict?
Should You resell the dunk low yellow heart?
If you’re a Day trader, I wouldn’t recommend touching the shoe at all, the current prices are probably going to drop even further down so you’re looking at potential losses. The shoe has some potential for growth but only time will tell if it is worth investing in for the long term.
