It’s no secret that Nike has been dipping into the ’90s nostalgia as of late. The Swoosh has been rereleasing some of their most classic basketball silhouettes in original and new colorways. This time around, the sneaker world is being treated to the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 “Valerian Blue.”
For those not familiar with the model, the Air Zoom Flight 95 made its debut back in 1995 and was famously worn by a young Jason Kidd . Designed by Eric Avar, the sneaker was inspired by a panther with its cat-eye panel and sleek lines. It was one of the first basketball shoes to feature Nike’s Zoom Air technology.
The upcoming colorway has a black base that is made up of mesh, nubuck, and leather materials. It features Valerian Blue and Ale Brown accents, as well as a white midsole and a black rubber outsole.
Nike isn’t the only brand that’s been capitalizing on fashion trends from the ’90s recently. Adidas delivered its own take on the chunky dad sneaker with its new Falcon shoes while Puma brought back its iconic Clyde sneakers. Reebok also jumped on the trend by bringing back its InstaPump Fury OG shoes. If you’re looking to grab these Zoom Flight 95’s see the details below.
At this rate, we wouldn’t be surprised if velcro shoes made a comeback too. Hey, stranger things have happened.

Zoom Flight 95: Resale Value
The chart above gives us a breakdown of the average sale price of the shoe by day since September 29,2022. As you can see, the shoe has lost an average of $12 by day since 9/29/2022 and the current resale value is $106, 36% below its retail price. The picture is clear, do not try to resell these sneakers, at least not right now. This is probably another case of the shoes being available at the Nike employee Store where it is being sold at 40% to 50% below its MSRP. I’m not sure what the inventory is in there but don’t expect prices to go up any time soon. Based on previous models released, it will take an average of 18 to 24 months for prices to begin to climb. So if you’re willing to wait this long, then by all means buy it now, especially at $100. You can expect a return of 49% on your initial investment at $100 a pair within the next 24 months.
