Now let’s see how the shoe is performing on third party marketplaces.
Resale Value: Air Flight Huarache OG
As you can see from the chart above, average prices went from $156 on June 1st to $182 the very next day, and back down to $173 on the 3rd and remained in the high $160’s for three consecutive days. As of June 7th, the average sale price is about $176, showing that the shoe has positive trend overall. Let’s see what the five number summary reveals.
Minimum: 120
Quartile Q1: 155
Median: 164
Quartile Q3: 174.25
Maximum: 250
The lowest sale recorded was $120 for a size 8 on June 6th while the highest sale was $250 for a size 15. About 1/4 of the shoes sold between $120 and $155 ( see next chart for sizes), while 50% of them sold between $155 and $174. The top 25% sales were between $174 and $250. There were a total of 12 outliers recorded, {120, 121, 121, 121, 121, 125, 219, 224, 224, 233, 250}, that’s quite unusual. With these outliers disregarded, the overall average resale value is $165 with a 8% volatility.
At $165, you’re looking at a +$17 profit margin, a 13% mark up ( below average). Because there were so many outliers, there are surely sizes that might be worth targeting for resale purposes and others that are not. So let’s take a look at the current earnings by size sold.
Earnings By Size: Nike Air Flight Huarache OG
23% of the sales led to no profit or a loss, that is sizes 8,9 and 11.5. another 23% generated profit margins under $15 ( sizes 9.5,10 and 10.5). 31% led to earnings between $20 and $25 ( sizes 12,12.5,14 and 11). Sizes 13, 6 and 15 generated the most profits with $49, $66 and $94 in returns respectively. So what can we conclude about the shoe, should you pursue it?
Let’s start with the best sizes to target. I would recommend aiming for sizes 13 and 15 for homeruns. There were a total of 7 sales for size 13 and they were close to the low $200’s, so you definitely want to target it. Other larger sizes worth pursuing are sizes 11,12 ,12.5 and 14. They might not lead to the highest profit but at least you won’t be losing any money on them. I’m a bit apprehensive about size 6 because only a single sale was recorded for it. These are the only sizes that I deem would be worth reselling.
