To be completely honest, writing about Jordan signature shoes doesn’t excite me as much any more, especially since the brand tends to rely on repetitive designs. However, I’m excited to break from the norm and highlight the Air Jordan 7 Chambray colorway. While it was originally introduced in 2006, this edition is still one of the most underappreciated Jordan 7 models.
The shoe’s striking combination of Black, Chambray, and Light Graphite hues creates a sleek, sophisticated aesthetic that pays homage to its iconic debut. The upper features a supple Black suede material that exudes elegance and refinement. The shoe’s contrasting Chambray accents enhance its visual appeal and add a touch of subtle sophistication. To complete the design, Light Graphite elements are featured on the tongues and midsoles, embodying the shoe’s classic aesthetic.

Jordan 7 Chambray: Resale Value
The chart provides us with a concise overview of the average sale prices for the shoe on various third-party markets since July 11,2023. The prices initially began at $197, slightly lower than the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, on July 11. However, within a day, they dropped to $191, and by July 13, they decreased even further to $190.
Presently, the current average sale price is $194, but it’s doubtful that we’ll see a significant increase once the shoe officially releases. In fact, I anticipate that the prices may drop even further, possibly reaching $185 or stabilizing at $190 for the next two years. Let’s see what the five number summary reveals,
Minimum: 172
Quartile Q1: 179
Median: 186.5
Quartile Q3: 194
Maximum: 278
The lowest sale recorded was $172 for a size 9.5 while the highest sale recorded was $278 for a size 7. 25% of the shoes sold between $172 and $179 ( see next chart for sizes), while half of them sold between $179 and $194. The remaining 25% sold between $194 and $278 and there were six outliers, all above $200, that is $220,$233, $239,$249, $256, and $278. With these outliers disregarded, the overall average resale value is $185 with a 4% volatility.
At $185, you’re looking at a -$44 loss so the verdict is already clear.
About 92% of the sales led to major losses as you can see, that is sizes 8-13. There’s only one size that led to $15 profit, and that is size 7. And the interesting thing is, only 2 sales were recorded for this size. So as already asserted, the verdict is clear, the Jordan 7 Chambray isn’t a shoe you want to resell. And I’ll go as far as saying that you shouldn’t even try to hold onto it to the long term , you’ll have to wait a very long time.
This is however great news for buyers, as you’ll be able to buy a pair for below retail.
