For decades, the Air Jordan 1 has been a leader in sneaker fashion. This timeless silhouette is always at the top of Nike’s design lab, with new colorways being created to satisfy its faithful consumers. The latest release is the Air Jordan 1 High True Blue, which clearly takes inspiration from another iconic shoe, the True Blue 3.
At first glance, you can see how Nike took inspiration from the True Blue 3. The base of the shoe is white leather, with grey and blue overlays for a classic two-tone effect. It sits atop a white midsole and grey rubber outsole for a modern touch that still honors the original design. As for branding details, you’ll find Nike swooshes on both side panels in blue, as well as wings logo on the quarter panels and “Nike Air ” with a small swoosh on the outside of the tongue. If you’re looking to grab a pair, refer to the details below.

Demand/popularity
Interest in the shoe peaked in February 2022, with a score of 100. Since then, interest levels have been lower (ranging from 26 to 50). Looking at the demand and supply ratio of the secondary market, we can see that there is twice as much supply than there is demand (54/125). Nevertheless, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the shoes are not selling – let’s take a look at the sell through rate too.
Sell Through Rate
The STR is about 72% ( 1.8 times above average), that is good news. So the shoe does sell quite well.
Current Selling Price
The chart above gives us a breakdown of the average sale price of the shoe since the 10th of January. As you can see prices went up by $11 within a 24 hour period, but this could be due to certain sizes selling for a higher price. Let’s find our five number summary for better details.
Lowest Sale Recorded: $170 (size 9)
Quartile Q1: 181
Median: 190.5
Quartile Q3: 210
Highest Sale Recorded: $239 ( size 8.5)
1/4 of the shoes sold for prices between $170 and $181 ( a size 8.5, 9, 3 size 9.5, 2 size 10, 2 size 10.5,2 size 11 and a size 11.5 and 13). 50% of the shoes sold for prices from $181 to $210 and the remaining 25% sold for prices from $210 to $239. There were no outliers, and the overall average sale price was $195, leading to a $12 loss.
Are there sizes worth reselling?
Out of every pair sold on the secondary market, only two sizes led to a profit of $18, a 9% mark up ( still below average). If you’re a day trader, this isn’t a shoe you want to resell. But this is great news for buyers as most pairs are selling right around retail. They will probably sell out via retail but there is no need to panic since the majority of pairs on third party marketplaces are selling between $181 and $210. The only way I can explain how third party merchants are able to sell this shoe for this low is that it is probably available via Nike Employee store where most pairs are sold up to 50% below their MSRP.
This is definitely a relatively good pair to invest in for the long term but you’ll have to wait for a bout 24-36 months to see any major change in the current resale value. I’ll be monitoring the progress of the price. Be sure to check out the post below in which I show you how to quickly identify the fake True Blue 1.
