I’ve purposely taken a hiatus from writing about sneakers due to the lack of excitement, mainly because of the redundancy in the styles that are being reintroduced countless times. I’m compelled to come out of hibernation since I’m done with my school year (I’m a teacher). I reviewed June’s calendar, and nothing truly impressed me; even the Air Jordan 4 Oxidized Green release in a few days is just another “meh” in my opinion.
Now the shoe features White, Oxidized Green, and Neutral Grey tones. The White leather base is accented by Oxidized Green details on the eyelets and midsole, with a metallic sheen that extends to the Jumpman logos and inner lining. To complete the design, there’s a White midsole with visible Air cushioning in the heel, along with a durable Neutral Grey rubber outsole. If you’re looking to grab a pair, refer to the details below

Jordan 4 Oxidized Green: Resale Value
Let me start by presenting you the five number summary,
Minimum: 122
Quartile Q1: 145
Median: 177
Quartile Q3: 186
Maximum: 208
As you can see, the lowest sale recorded was $122, corresponding to a size 7 while the highest sale was $208, size 14, already 9% below the suggested MSRP. About 25% of the shoes sold between $122 and $145 ( see chart below for sizes), while half of them sold between $145 and $186. The top 25% sales were between $186 and $208, and there were no outliers. The overall average resale value was $167 with a 16% volatility.
At $167, you’re looking at a -$76 loss if you were planning on reselling the Jordan 4 Oxidized Green. The chart below will show you the average returns by size sold.

Based on the records above, 33% of the sales led to losses between $30 and $50 ( that is sizes 11,12,13 an 14), while another 33% generated losses between $50 and $85 ( sizes 10,10.5,9 and11.5). The remaining 34% led to losses above $85, that is sizes 8,8.5,9.5 and 7. The verdict is quite clear, if you were contemplating targeting this shoe for resale purposes, I hope you abandon that idea very rapidly.
I even think retailers are going to have a very difficult time doing away with their inventory, but I suspect that they are already liquidating on the secondary market since sellers’ identities are concealed. It’s a theory, I have no evidence to prove it but it is very likely. This is also the beginning of the death of the Jordan 4 silhouette. Nike has completely adulterated it and the proof is right before our eyes. This is certainly a major win for buyers as pairs are being sold up to 61% below the MSRP.
