Sneakerheads rejoice! One of the most beloved SB collaborations is back, and this time it’s better than ever. The Concepts SB Dunk Low Lobster theme first debuted in 2008 and quickly became a cult classic. Now, 12 years later, the two brands have teamed up again to bring us an updated take on the iconic sneaker, the Concepts Nike SB Dunk Low Orange Lobster.
The Nike SB Concepts “Lobster” was first seen in 2008 as a nod to New England’s seafood culture. This newer iteration is a play on the classic Red and Yellow Lobster colorways. The uppers are constructed of premium materials, and the iconic plaid pattern lines the interior. Additionally, these shoes feature an elastic band around the forefoot, similar to how lobster claws are bound together.
For sneakerheads, the release of the Orange Lobster Dunks is a highly anticipated event. The original 2008 release was one of the first collaborations between Nike SB and Concepts, and it quickly became a grail for many sneaker collectors. The updated 2021 version is sure to be just as popular, if not more so. If you’re planning on picking up a pair, refer to the details below

OBSERVATIONS
The chart above gives us a quick breakdown of the average sale price of the shoe since December 1,2022. As you can see, the current numbers are astronomical, even though the shoe lost about $14 within a 24 hour period, this is still incredible. Let’s look at our five number summary for further details,
Lowest Sale recorded : $366 ( size 8)
Quartile Q1: 451.5
Median: 485.5
Quartile Q3: 555
Highest Sale recorded: $787 ( size 11.5)
The current volatility is about 17% ( which is slightly above normal). 25% of the shoes sold for prices between $366 and $451.5 ( see next chart for exact sizes). The majority, that is 50% of the shoes sold for prices from $451.5 to $555 ( see next chart), and the top 25% sold for prices from $555 to $787. There were two outliers $762, $787 corresponding to sizes 11.5 and 13. With those outliers removed, the average resale value is $497, for a $314 profit ( a 228% mark up), this is incredible. The next chart will show you the earnings by size sold.
This is definitely one of the best shoes to sell in the month of December. I will update the post soon with information about long term investment details, stay tuned.
