The Air Jordan 1 Mid Maison Chateau Rouge is also part of the Nike’s Fearless collection. The shoe was birthed out of joint work between Parisian label Maison Château Rouge and Nike. It is covered in a myriad of colors consistent with Maison Chateau Rouge founders’s African heritage. Material wise the sneaker features premium and synthetic leather with special stitch detailing on the tongue and heel, visit Nike.com for more details. The shoe will certainly be limited and folks are looking to capitalize on it; here is a breakdown of its current market value and the inferences we can make from it.
Retail Value of the shoe: $130 before tax and $138 after tax if you live in Maryland
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 8)
The first sale was recorded on November the 13th; I included the line of best fit to stress out the fact that the shoe has been trending down ( within 14 days it went from $317 to $232). There were some days where it went all the way up to $476 but the overall observation is that it has been losing its value. I’m assuming that by the time it releases it will lose another 6% in value but will stay constant from then on. So for a size 8 I’m projecting the overall average value to be $220, thus a $53 profit.
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 8.5)
The size 8.5 has been trending down and reached its plateau in the low $240’s. I’m assuming that there will be another 6% drop once the shoe releases and it will constant for several months. I’ll project $225 as the constant value ( subject to change); at this value we’re looking at a $58 profit.
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 9)
Same trend as the previous two sizes ( 8 and 8.5). The low $240’s seem to be the plateau and if we consider the 6% decrease by release date, we’re looking at a $226 average value for a $59 profit ( sz9).
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 9.5)
This one is a bit irregular, but the last 5 sales recorded seem to indicate that the shoe will reach its constant value in the low $240’s, and if we factor in the 6% decrease by release date, we are left with a $224 average for a $57 profit.
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 10)
Projected average sale price after the 6% decrease is $228 for a $61 profit( size 10).
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 10.5)
Projected average sale price after the 6% decrease is $235 for a $66 profit( size 10.5).
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 11)
Projected Average sale price is $253 for a $82 profit ( size 11).
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 11.5)
The only size so far that has been trending up is the size 11.5; I’m projecting that average sale price of this particular size will be about $260 for a $88 profit ( size 11.5).
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 12)
Projected average sale price by release date is in the mid $250’s for an average profit of $80.
Average Sale Price VS Time ( size 13)
Projected average sale price by release date is in the low $260’s for an average profit of $87 ( size 13).
I also wanted to add the scatter gram below of the recently release Air Jordan 1 Mid Blue The Great. I did that because I think its current trend on the market will be close to that of the Air Jordan 1 Mid Maison Chateau Rouge.
AJ 1 mid blue the great AVG sale price vs time Nov 13-Nov 27
The shoe was dropped on November the 9th but you can see that the overall average value of the shoe has fallen within the $170-$190 range. The plot above shows you the records from November the 13th to November the 27th. I’m saying all that to say that the similar fate awaits the Jordan 1 Mid Maison Chateau Rouge. Once the plateau for each size is reached ( I talked about it in the paragraphs above), you can expect the shoe to not change in price again ( and even if it does it won’t be significant enough) until the supply is really low, and that would probably take place within a 6 to 12 months period.
If you like the Stock terms, my recommendation would be a Moderate BUY or a SELL ( if you can’t wait 12 months).
For the average sneaker reseller, I’ll say look for the sizes that yield to the most profit based on the charts above and sell the shoe immediately if you are working with a limited capital. But if you have a substantial amount of money at your disposal, then sit on the shoe for some time ( 0 to 6 months) and it will eventually regain some momentum.
