For the sneakerheads out there, we have some exciting news! The Air Jordan 1 High OG Heritage is releasing in Europe and Canada tomorrow. This version of the classic Jordan 1 is inspired by the original design from 1985, and features a high-quality construction and premium materials. The Heritage edition pays tribute to the shoe’s roots with a simple White leather base and and University Red overlays, and black highlights on the laces and ankle collar. Its most striking aspect is its Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 blocking, which features Red instead of Blue.

Air Jordan 1 High Og Heritage: Stock Numbers
First let’s make some quick assumptions, and then we can project the possible number of pairs produced. We’ll assume that Nike SNKRS will receive about 40% of the total inventory produced. Below you’ll find the number of pairs produced per size via SNKRS.
Size 3.5 ( 150), size 4 (300), size 4.5(280) , size 5 (440), size 5.5 (606), size 6(1080), size 6.5 (1055), size 7 (2140), size 7.5(2520), size 8 (7685), size 8.5 (8610), size 9 (12220), size 9.5 (13315), size 10(14400), size 10.5 (14600), size 11(12940), size 11.5(6588), size 12(10250), size 12.5(1240), size 13 ( 7000), size 14 (2260), size 15 (930), size 16( 150)
Total for Nike SNKRS=120,759 let say 120,800 pairs
Total projected= (120,800 pairs) x2 + 120,800/2=302,000 pairs
We can conclude that the number of pairs produced will sit within the 102,000 pairs to 302,000 pairs interval
Jordan 1 Heritage Resale Value
The chart above gives us a breakdown of the average sale price of the shoe since April 6, 2022. Since we’re still on April 8, it will be hard for us to say that the trend is negative. If you look closely at the data, you’ll notice that between the 6th and he 7th, the resale value went up by $4. I believe there is going to be a substantial amount of pairs made, which means that the current sale price will likely drop by up to 20%. Here’s what the five number summary reveals
Minimum: 202
Quartile Q1: 235
Median: 244
Quartile Q3: 255
Maximum: 328
The highest sale recorded was $328 ( for a size 6.5 on April 7,2022) while the lowest sale was $202 ( corresponding to a size 8). 25% of the sales were between $202 and $235 ( mostly on sizes 8, 8.5, 9 and 9.5). 50% sold for prices from $235 to $244 ( mostly sizes 10, 10.5, some sizes 9.5 and a couple of size 11’s). Another 25% sold for prices between $255 and $328 ( mostly large sizes 11.5,12,13 and a size 6.5).
Set of outliers: {202, 287, 294, 302, 328}
We have one low outlier at $202 ( for that size 8 already mentioned) and four high outliers. The resale value will most likely sit within the $215 to $260 range, with a few exceptions where it will be close to $300. The overall current average sale price ( without the outliers) is $244, leading to a profit margin of +$40.
Unless you’re targeting sizes 6.5, 11.5,12.5, 13 or 14, I wouldn’t consider this shoe for the short term investment. You must also remember that these current margins will likely drop by the time the shoe releases officially. The only investment worth considering is the long term option. I can easily see the Jordan 1 Heritage peaking at $600 in about four to six years. The equation below might help for future projections,
Resale= $0.30 (t) + $205 ( t is the time elapsed after May 1st, 2022).
Verdict
Only sizes 6.5,11.5-14 to be considered for the short term option. But this is definitely a shoe with a lot of potential for those able to hold onto it for a few years.
