Before we talk about the performance of the shoe in the resale market, let’s quickly what the stock levels are like.
Stock Number Levels
Based on the data above, the stock numbers will be relatively high on most sizes. But high stock levels can be misleading. For example, a high stock level on a size 11 for a pair Jordan Retro may be 3,000 while a high stock level on a pair of Huarache for the same size might be 400. So how do we figure it out then? We can lean on past records to establish a pattern. The last pair of Huarache that dropped was the Liverpool edition and Nike released about 4,600 pairs in North America. It’s safe to say that the numbers for the Off Noir Huarache will be fairly similar and we can conclude that between 3500 and 5000 pairs were possibly made.
The chart above gives you a breakdown of the average sale price of the shoe since December 30,2021. As you can see it has been fluctuating but one thing is sure, it is trending down. Only one sale was recorded so far on January 9 and it was in the amount of $110, $25 below the shoe’s suggested retail price. That’s not a very good sign. Let’s see what our five number summary reveals and we’ll draw some conclusions.
Quartile Q1: $137.75
Quartile Q3: $189.5
Based on the five number summary, the average resale value of the shoe is about $171. That will yield to a $12 profit. We also learn that 25% of the shoes sold for prices from $110 to $137.75, 50% sold for values from $137.75 to $189.5 and another 25% sold for values between $189.5 and $200. I wouldn’t recommend reselling these shoes, but if you insist on doing so, let me give you a breakdown of the sizes with the best margins so you know what to aim for.
The shoe hasn’t even dropped yet, so I’ll seriously advise you to stay away from it, you can expect these prices to even drop by 20% in two days. This is going to be a good one for the buyers, you’ll be able to buy them possibly below retail so I wouldn’t rush to pay retail or above for them just yet.
