As a follow up to their highly successful collab with Public School back in February, Nike is teaming up with Boston-based sneaker store Concepts for an all new Air Max 1-The Concepts Nike Air Max 1 Mellow. Here is what Concepts had to say about the inspiration behind the colorway,
The design dig into the culture, music and style of the late ‘60s, specifically the music festival scene of the era, in all its vibrancy. Often held over long weekends, these festivals ticketed by the day. And, while there was a shared belief in the peaceful power of the gatherings, each had its own unique essence.
The music was eclectic, the style electric, and mood buoyed by crowds spreading love. Among the festival goers were seen protest symbols, peace signs, floral adornments and frayed edges. Denim mixed with the now familiar olive of military surplus M-65s, and juxtaposed with the softness of wide wale corduroy and velvet. These elements give the Nike x Concepts Air Max 1 SP “Mellow” its character.
With its paisley bandana print and denim details, the Concepts Nike Air Max 1 Mellow evokes the free-spirited summer of ’69. The custom Swoosh bandana print allows you to rep your brand with style, while the mud speckled midsole delivers an additional free-spirited finish to every step. Plus, the visible air unit ensures maximum cushioning for all-day comfort. This limited release is sure to be a hot commodity among sneakerheads, so don’t miss your chance to cop when they drop on March 5th. For purchase purposes, refer to the details below

Let’s find out five number summary to speed up the process of determining the current average sale price of this shoe.
Quartile Q1: 461.5
Quartile Q3: 702
The lowest sale recorded was $370 ( for a size 8 occurred on March 3rd), while the highest was $1080 for a size 12, and it occurred on March 1st. You definitely want to keep larger sizes in mind. 25% of the shoes sold for prices from $360 to $461.5 ( size 8.5, 2 size 9.5’s and a 12). 50% sold for prices between $461.5 and $702 ( mostly size 11’s and 11.5’s). Another 25% sold for prices between $702 and $1080 ( 2 size 10.5’s, a 10 and a 12). So it’s safe to say that larger sizes are fetching the highest returns. The only outlier was $1080, so if we remove it , the average resale value overall is $558. Now no one knows what the MSRP of the Concepts AM1 is so let’s set it at $200. At $200, the average sale price leads to a profit margin of +$296, this is a homerun. The shoe is definitely worth the investment. This is the best release this week end as far as resale is concerned.
