The Reebok Shaq Attaq was first introduced in 1992 as rising star Shaquille O’neal first signature shoes. They were the very first basketball shoes with carbon fiber shanks at the midfoot ( a technology that was added to lighten up the shoes)- when Shaq first entered the league, he wasn’t the ” big diesel” he was later known for; he was a very mobile center who could handle the ball, run the floor , basically play in a fast pace offense.
The Reebok Shaq Attaq was brought back n 2013 and sold out quick; they will make their way back again on January 20 , 25 years after their original debut. They feature a combination of premium and synthetic leather with suede/nubuck overlays. Embroidered Reebok and Shaq branding will cover the side panels, heel and the inside of the tongue respectively. The dual density inner liner works together with the pump ( located on the outside of the tongue in the shape of a black basketball) for a custom, cushioned and comfortable fit.
