Rapper Nelly made the Air force 1 very popular in the early 2000’s in his “Air Force ones” song; the song was the third Top 5 hit from Nellyville on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #3. I remember buying a couple of pairs myself back then; Nike went ahead and released so many colorways of the shoes, and eventually “killed it”- no one really cares about AF1’s any more. So the brand is definitely on a mission to revamp the once celebrated AF1 with the new reconstructed models.
You can clearly see that the Nike SF AF1 Special field Air Force 1 Pack was inspired by the military. A collection comprised of four pairs is set to release on November 5. Nike specifically designed the shoes with the cold season in mind; each one of them features premium full grain leather, ballistic nylon and a new, adjustable paracord ankle straps. The midsole and rubber outsole will remain untouched and a large signature Nike swoosh will occupy the medial and lateral sides. Below is a breakdown of each colorway.
