It’s no secret that Nike loves to milk a good thing. The brand has been incessantly releasing some of the classic silhouettes in newer colorways and the latest release is the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Los Angeles. This shoe is a nod to LA’s famous sunsets with a black nubuck overlay and gradient neoprene base. Blue and yellow contrasting accents on the branded areas pay homage to the LA Rams and Dodgers while the cursive “Los Angeles” on the lace tips commemorate the Lakers.
For sneakerheads in LA County, this release is especially significant. Not only does it pay tribute to some of the most iconic teams in the area, but it also captures the essence of what makes LA such a unique and special place.
The shoe features a black nubuck upper with a gradient neoprene base. The blue and yellow accents are a probably a nod to the LA Rams and Dodgers, while the purple lace tips are a tribute to the Lakers.
