Last year, Nike graced us with the release of the classic box series; although the SB line is not as glorious as it once was, the brand is still dropping some gems. Officially debuting on April 20 is the Nike SB Dunk Low Galaxy 420 883232 001.
Img via NikeThe shoes were supposedly inspired by 420 which symbolizes the international “Weed/Marijuana” day. I’m not sure why the galactic theme was slapped on the sneakers though. My only take on it would be that “weed” can literally put one in an ecstatic state, hence creating the mirage of an intergalactic travel. The sneakers feature patent leather overlays with galactic themed graphics. They also feature breathable textile materials on the panels. the tongue and its extension. Nike branding can be spotted in the customary swoosh on the lateral and medial sides; additional logos will grace the heel tab, the outside of the tongue and the sockliner. With a padded heel collar to cushion the ankle, the shoes are completed by a durable rubber sole with Zoom units for impact protection.
